Philbin actually has a brilliant plan: you never know what stupid **** he's going to do in a 2 minute drill. Will he run the clock out and head to the locker room? Will he play for the field goal? Will he pretend like he's going to go for the TD and fake you out with a missed FG? How do you plan for that?

Never in my life did I think I would miss the days of Sparanos clock management and 2 minute drills :crazy:

So let's say we manage to beat Oakland and get to 2 and 2 at the bye week. Pouncy , Jones , Moreno and several injured players like Misi are back. Our QB (or Moore) start playing better and we manage a 9 or 10 win season and get a playoff berth. You guys have a problem with that ? i don't and if Joe can oversee that turnaround i'd give him credit.

The Raiders have a solid D so it's up to our QB and OC to get the job done. I think we are good against their offense.

If we score 0 or 3 points again in the first half vs. Oakland, we'll lose. We need to come out and score early and take some pressure off of everyone associated with this team. But we haven't scored sufficiently in the first half of a game since early last season, so chances are not good that Philbin is going to suddenly become a good coach this week.
As bad as things look right now, the worst thing that could happen to this franchise is Philbin being the head coach in 2015.
