This week, beating the winless Raiders is supposed to be the tonic this team needs. As if beating a hapless team that's had to travel over 5,000 miles to get to the game is supposed to make everyone feel OK about this franchise. And what will the excuses be if they don't win?

I don't even care about the W-L. At this point, anything short of a good playoff showing means that this season was a failure. A record that isn't good enough for the playoffs but might keep Joe Philbin employed seems like the absolute worst case nightmare scenario for this team, to be honest.

Philbin has an absolutely horrendous record against the AFC East. What makes you think that is suddenly going to change where he dominates the whole division... No chance in hell a Philbin-led team beats a BB-led team twice in a season.
