Gus Frerotte Cannot Throw A Deep Ball. We Have Gone Deep 3 Times So Far. The First One Was Almost Picked By Barber But His 2nd Foot Came Down On The Chalk And He Was Out Of Bounds. The 2nd Deep Ball, Gilmore Had 2 Yards On The Db And Gus Overshot Him By 5 Yards. The 3rd Pass Boston Was Wide Open And Gus Over Threw It By 10 Yards.

While I haven't been able to watch intently (on the phone with DirecTV Support), it looks like Frerotte is not setting his feet on these deep passes. The last one to Boston especially. He's just rocketing them with his arm. Shoulda been an easy TD.

I'm watching no huddle on NFL Live and I've only seen the bomb to Gilmore who clearly beat the Db's...I didn't know Gus had missed two others..but the WR's are defintely beating the DB's long..

i agree, i think he needs to relax a bit

The Chambers drop was also his fault. He had 3 yards on the DB and he overthrew him and he dropped on the dive.

Gus hasn't played a very good game, no doubt about that, but Feeley needs to come in and show he can throw more than 5 yards at a time.

I'd rather AJ takes what's there then force it and get int's, so if mr. 5 yards can 5 yard us down the field and score I'd take that. but he also have to the get the kind of play calls that Gus gets so he can go down field.

But he's not taking us 5 yards down for the score. Combined this preseason Gus is outscoring Feeley while on the field.

Throwing the deep ball doesn't do a whole lot of good if you can't hit your wide-open receivers.

My post was supposed to be completions and not attempts, my mistake. But this really only backs up my point. 8 completions for 92 yards compared to 16 for 95.

The thing is, Chambers got his feet in and the ball was right in his hands. Not an easy catch. But Chambers has to catch that ball. And he usually does.

He has been pressured on those deep balls so he cant step into his throw
