Obviously no injury report for several days yet, but clearly the Broncos are determined to get the season started healthy ... the following big names didn't even play Friday night:
QB 16 J.Plummer, CB 24 C.Bailey, S 25 N.Ferguson, CB 35 L.Walls, RB 38 M.Anderson, FB 39 K.Johnson, S 47 J.Lynch, G/C 50 B.Hamilton, LB 52 I.Gold, LB 55 DJ.Williams, LB 56 A.Wilson, DT 61 G.Warren, G/T 65 C.Carlisle, C 66 T.Nalen, T 72 G.Foster, DT 76 M.Myers, T 78 M.Lepsis, WR 80 R.Smith, TE 82 S.Alexander, WR 85 A.Lelie, DE 91 E.Ekuban, DE 93 T.Pryce

So, I'm of the opinion that the Broncos have the best LB unit in the league... They will put a hurtin' on Ronnie Brown, so i hope he toughs it out and has a mistake free, hard-nosed debut... Welcome to the NFL, Ronnie...
That being said, I feel the key to their defense will be Gerard Warren. If he's motivated and playing well, as they are saying with his "new surroundings", that will really be a thorn in our unproven O-Line's fortunes, and will allow any one of their speedy linebackers to completely disrupt most running plays... But the rest of the line is very suspect.... Trevor Pryce was solid, but there's no telling how he'll be returning from a serious back surgery... If they're both beasts? Look out... We're in HUGE trouble... Regardless, let's test them both early and run right at 'em...
As for the secondary... Why bother throw against Bailey? If they lock him down on Chambers, so be it... The other three appear to be very beatable... If they go with Walls at the other corner, great... I say go over the top on him all day... Preferrably with Boston... Lots of small speedy rookie corners in nickle and dime.... But, rookies...
The Colts' first teamers sure moved the ball on them in their "dress rehearsal" preseason game a few weeks ago... But then, that's the Colts...
When they have the ball, i'm worried about our pass defense here... Reports are that Darius Watts has really stepped up as their No. 3, forming a formiddable trio with Rod Smith and Ashlie "when-will-he-blossum" Lelie...
Add to that a capable running game behind a proven line, and they have the balance to get at least 14 points on our veteran defense.
Their special teams kick coverage seems very soft, so maybe we can gain an edge there. Both their kickers are solid...
And then there's Plummer, for whom opinions vary... But i feel if he just stays conservative and picks his spots, he won't kill them....
All in all, I just see their defense really taking it to an offense that has shown little push, lots of penalties, and very little crispness -- save for the first drive against Tampa... Our defense fights valiantly, Elam kicks four field goals, Brown runs 20 times for 65 yards, and Frerotte is not a difference maker...
Humble Prediction: Broncos 19, Dolphins 10. :yell:
Anyone with informed knowledge of Denver's summer progress, please chime in...
