Lets stop looking at the schedule!

Championship teams never look ahead at their schedule and take the season one game at a time. So lets as a forum stop looking at the schedule and stop trying to predict our future record and stop trying to predict the result of games that are not happening for another month. Its stupid to look at games that are months away and say that we will win or lose. Lets take this season one game at a time, especially considering we have beaten the teams that most of you predictors have said we would lose, and have lost the games you said we would win. Anyone with me?

Winning is like a drug for the fans of bad teams. You cannot blame us for looking for our next fix.

This sounds like excellent advice from a players standpoint. As a player, you have to address the task at hand and let all your other worries fade away for the time being so you can focus on and excel at what lies directly in front of you.

As a fan, this sounds like way too much to ask for especially since we are not at practice trying to gameplan for the next opposing team everyday. I play football for high school and I can't imagine thinking ahead two or three weeks and planning for those offenses because all the things I would have to remember would probably get jumbled during the game when the pressure is on and instinct is the predominant thing controlling you. making it second nature is the only way you can insure that you will know what to do come gametime.

So as a Dolphins fan (and not a player) I think your asking way too much in terms of self control. Also it can get pretty boring during the week (especially when the league leader in sacks is all of a sudden keeping his big mouth shut) and these threads can inspire some interesting discussions.
