Know that it's only the preseason but I'd rather have a QB who is leading TD drives and not turning the ball over. TheO-line is somewhat holding up. And our defense is forcing three and outs left and right, along with that 4 play goal line stand. But was bored and figured I'd take a look at the stats of our competition.

Tannehill- 18-22 for 158 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT

vs our schedule.

Robert Griffin- 6-13 for 44 yards, 0 TD, 0 INT, 3 sacks
Blake Bortles- 19-31 for 216 yards 0 TD, 0 INT
-Does anyone even know who the Bills QB is?
-Does anyone even know who the Jets QB is?
Marcus Mariota- 12-16 153 yards 0 TD, 1 INT, 1 Fumble
Brian Hoyer- 9-15 for 119 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT
Tom Brady- 3-9 for 23 yards, 0 TD, 0 INT
Sam Bradford- 3-5 for 5 yards, 0 TD, 0 INT
Tony Romo- 1-1 for -1 yards, 0TD, 0 INT
Joe Flacco- 8-13 for 56 yards, 0 TD, 2 INT
Eli Manning- 8-22 for 34 yards, 0 TD, 0 INT
Phillip Rivers- 2-2 for 20 yards, 0 TD, 0 INT
Andrew Luck- 10-15 for 114 yards, 0 TD, 0 INT

Once again Tannehill and Luck are essentially neck and neck. Mariota is skewed because of playing time against 2nd & 3rd teamers. Luckily the Redskins are too stubborn to admit RG3 sucks and won't make Cousins their starter. Kinda worried about Hoyer. I swear if we can't beat them without Andre Johnson.....:tubes::tubes::tubes::tubes:

I'll update it after every game.

Come on man!!! You have Tom Brady, Andrew Luck, Eli Manning, Joe Flacco, Tony Romo, and Sam Bradford. Half of the QB's on this list won at least 1 Superbowl. They are proven winners and proven leaders. I don't care if they throw 100 Ints in the preseason, that doesn't mean a dime during the regular season.

However meaningless, interesting stat: our qb has more TDs than all on this list combined in preseason.

some of those QBs are getting long in the tooth, be interesting to see when the fall off happens.

I was hoping this wasca topic about the entire afc east. Not just the qbs we will face.

Though true we do need to take that into account, when the chips are down, these guys do know how to win, past success does not always tell you as accurately what type of player someone will be, then how he is looking in the present.

The stats for Brady don't matter. He'll be his normal self in the regular season...Same with Tony Romo IMO. Eli Manning you never know what you're going to get...IIRC he led the league in INTs two years ago. Sam Bradford probably won't last to our game since he's made of glass...we'll most likely be facing Mark Sanchez. Andrew Luck has too many weapons...and fast weapons at that...to not have a good season.

Joe Flacco on the other hand has looked bad...new offense, remember Gary Kubiak is in Denver now. Flacco may be in for a bad season if preseason is any indication.

That's a tough list of QB to face this yr....even though the Jets and Bills are undecided on starting QB the Bills defense looks scary and two to the three QB look like they have enough to make the Bills dangerous with all the weapons they have, The Jets have played more vanilla than all the other teams in the East and that offensive line looks good, real good and the Defense is a mystery and they are deep at WR, Fitz doesn't scare me but in two yr that kid Petty will be the next rising star in the league.....The Pats will never die until Brady is slayed with a wooden spike to the heart..Mariota looks like the real deal, reminds me of Wilson, glad we have them early, that team will be a tough out by the end of the season,...can anyone find the 10 games, with our schedule, we're going to need to get in the playoffs? The best I can do is 8-9.....

I got 10-11.

I'd rather compare tannehill's stats vs division qbs...and also both of Tannehills TDs came in 4th down situations I believe, so they wouldve been FGs in a real game.

The one to D.Williams against Carolina was on 1st or 2nd down I believe. The one to Landry was on 4th against Chicago.

This is the kind of stuff that makes the pat, bills, and jets fans laugh over. Let's not feed them please.

I'd agree if anyone here was going ga-ga over it, I think most realize it doesn't mean squat - it does however beat 5 turnovers and and a broken jaw, as the OP alluded to.

in a real game we'd be playing with the entirety of our playbook too

There would have also been better strategizing and the plays called would have been less vanilla, not to forget Tannehill has also done this with important targets off the field, which will be different in the regular season...in the end it evens out.
