We have at least two or three posts a day focusing on Tannehill and Weeden so I wanted to gauge what people thought about the rest of the crowd. I made a poll on the draft forum about a week ago and below are the results. What do you guys think about the other guys? Do you guys Like any of the other QB's? Oswieler, Cousins and Wilson seemed to be pretty popular among dolphin fans on the draft board. Do you see any of these guys as potentially being great NFL QB's?

Results of the poll: Which QB's in this years draft would fit the Dolphins West Coast Offense other than Tannehill and Weeden?

Note: (I did allow people to vote for "I will only accept tannehill/weeden" but I wanted fresh ideas.)

As you can see the Top 3 QB's other than T&W that people thought would fit with Philbin and the new look Dolphins were:
1) Kirk Cousins, Michigan State, 6"3 205, Projected Round 2-4 25%
2) Brock Osweiler, Arizona State, 6'7 242, Projected Round 2-3 11.5%
3) Russell Wilson, Wisconsin 5-11 204, Projected Round 4-5 10.8%

Who I like...in order of best to worst.....Tannehill, Weeden, Osweiler, Cousins, BJ Coleman.

Tannehill, wilson, Weeden, Cousins, and Osweiler

Tannehill, wilson, Weeden, Cousins, and Osweiler
I watched video's of Wilson and he was impressive. I guess his height is the big hangup. But I suppose Brees is only a hair taller so who knows?

Wilson's OL for the Badgers was an average of 6' 5" and 305 pounds, which is the same as the average NFL OL I do believe. So you can rule out the height issue. I would like to see us take him in one of the later rounds, maybe 5-7 if he is still there.

i say we draft Tannehill at 8 if not Osweiler in round 2 or 3

If we do not draft Tannehil ( I hope not at #8), we might be able to get Osweiler with 3A. That is as high as I would take him.

I agree with Tannehill than Weeden, but I'd put Cousins next followed by Wilson, Coleman and Osweiler. I don't think Weeden would fit the WCO that well, though. For that reason, I believe Cousins is next in line, after Tannehill, for Miami. I think Cousins could flourish in this system with quality coaching. I honestly haven't seen enough of Coleman. He looked pretty good in East/West Shrine game. One play keeps haunting me when it comes to Osweiler and that's in the game against Boise St. where he calls off a punt (loved that), but then proceeded to throw one of the worst passes I've ever seen. Unfortunately, that one play really sticks in my mind with him. Wilson is intriguing because I think the talent is there and that he will outplay his draft position. But it's also hard to look past 5-10.

Tannehill, weeden (he played pro baseball so think he is plenty athletic), Cousins, Osweiler, Coleman, Wilson

It's not that Wilson had a huge line, it's that he'll play bigger D linemen. They get hands up and down go passes. Wilson will be great in Canada, Darron Thomas does everything Wilson does and is bigger.

Tannehill
Cousins
Coleman
Darron Thomas

I persanally agree that if we don't get Tannehill or Weeden, Cousins whould be the guy we go after. He may not have the arm or potential of Tennehill, or already be a complete and ready to start player like Weeden, but he could end up being a pretty good player himself...he sure left many scouts wondering after the combines.

I would rate them:

Tannehill, Weeden, Cousins, Foles, Osweiler.

I can't believe no one has brought up Foles. I would go Tannehill, Weeden, Wilson, Foles, Osweiler, Cousins. I really think Wilson has a high ceiling. He could be great in the right situation, but he has to be given a chance. Lots of times a player his size never gets a real shot. Doug Flutie did nothing but beat out every player at his position on every team he was on, but they always went with the bigger player. Wilson might run into that same problem. Wilson is a special player, a real winner. He will succeed if given a shot.

Brock Osweiler and Kirk Cousins are the only Qbs I see worthy of picking and developing imo. Could pick one up in the 2-3rd range

Tannehill would be a gigantic reach at 8, so I don't count him. If it's not Luck than no need to draft a Qb in the first.

Next year Barkley and Jones will be available if we still need to go that way.

Look at the highlights of the east west shrine game with Coleman. He also looks like a viable NFL candidate down the road.
