The guy is a top tier WR. He will be back to 95% health this year, and because of his injury (early last year..first game), the insiders say he can be had for a late round pick.

A late round pick..like a 5th! Seriously, if we got that guy down here for a 5th-6th round pick we would be incredible.

Factor in one of our WRs will get hurt at some point..it's football. Could be Chambers...who would replace him now?

Exactly. No one. After Chambers, there is a serious drop in talent.

Daunte is here, critics say he can't do anything without a great WR. Let's hand him 2 and watch the beatings take place. I would love to see this happen. Use Welker in the slot and rotate Booker and Campbell in as subs. Suddenly we have depth, and a very high powered offense.

how do we trade for him for a 5th if we dont have one?
 
Thought we had a 5th or a 6th.

I read this about Walker in Insider.

Point is, he can be had for way under his value in a trade. He is coming off an injury and has lowered his trade value by saying he wont play.

i wouldnt mind having him if we could get him for a 7th. Thats the only late pick we have. :D
 
Why not trade our 4th and two of our 7ths for Javon and their 5th? It's like a late 4th and great value in getting a player like Walker.
 
also his base salary is 650k this year.

they said the pack would be "fortunate" to get a mid to late rounder for him. NFL is crazy this year.
 
They can have 3 of our 7ths......you dont generally get great players that late anyway, so while it could be done Walker would be great value for that

But

I dont think we will show interest in him

Why not? He is a steal right now. We need another WR who can step up. We wnated TO, why would we not want a guy who is much younger, very very good and can be had for way less?
 
it didnt say that walker could be had for a late round pick. it said that green bay would be lucky to get a late round pick for him. i really doubt green bay would let him go for a 2nd day pick.
