Anyone know how much of a cap hit we'd take?? This guy needs to go. I highly doubt he's tradeable, unless there is someone out there dumb enough to take him.

where is clumpy when you need him. i rememeber last season it was a big hit, so im guessing its still a good size hit.

why cut him? i would just move him back to the #2 spot, and sign a FA CB to be the #1 CB. there are some good CBs in FA this year.

i dont think anyone would give us much for him...we arent desperate for cap room and if we get other corners sam would add nice depth and could be a great teacher to daniels poole mitchell and a possible draft pick...he still has value for us

i dont know about the "highest paid" but he definatly wants to get PAID.

he completly sucked *** agenst the chargers. but other than that 1 game, he has been pritty good all season long.

i think he is the best CB FA this year. but i dout he will be an unrestricted FA.

I personally think he is still pretty good, definately our #1 by far.. he's aging and his cap hit is getting bigger, but we used to have the best CB tandem other than maybe baltimore.. now we don't have surtain we can't afford to lose madison unless we get someone real good to replace him. I personally would not want to see him go for a 4th.. maybe a 3rd if Saban has his eye on a CB he thinks he can get in the 3rd that will turn out to be a real good one.

I don't know. The guy doesn't make plays like he used to. Gets burned alot and actually makes dumb mental mistakes (like personal fouls) that were avoidable.

PLUS, he hasn't had an interception since 2003. Scary to think that your best corner hasn't had a pick in over two years.

did you guys see the pass interference call he got? he was mugging the guy. then to just start complaining to the ref to make a fool out of himself, its embarassing.

Sam should have been gone 3 years ago...He FLAT out sucks...Patrick Surtain should have been the CB that stayed.....Hes gone or a major PAYCUT.

You'd be wrong. He makes a lot of money and has little speed and NO hands left. He's also good for at least one personal foul or pass inter penalty per game.

He's got to go, take the hit next year and bring in players who can tackle and cover.

Maybe because he hasn't had a INT in 2 YEARS!!!!
