Lex Hilliard finds a home on Dolphins' roster

I'm glad he's going to make the roster but I wouldn't be shocked if he was on the 53 man roster for a couple days and then replaced by a player at another position and if he goes unclaimed we'd stash him on the practice squad again

I wonder if Brandon London is in or out. The guy was invisible during the preseason, and I think they know Turner has much better upside.

london's going before Turner. I dont see the coaches throwing a way a 3rd rd pick.

Turner averages 9.28 yds a catch with 7 catches and 63 yds. I think he will improve and can play this game especially with how good during TC. Like I said no way Tuner goes.

Agreed. I'd imagine Hilliard won't be active come gameday unless one of the three of Brown, Williams, and Cobbs are injured. Only possibility is if he really does end up being a kick returner or something.

Thats a smart keep. By mid season the rest of the league is gonna take notice how deep are back field is. You get the scene that people around football that know whats going on see something brewing down Here IN SOUTH FLORIDA YEAH!!!! boy 9 days is a long time

Good news. I like this Hilliard kid. He is mr. hustle out there all the time. He will see some time on the field - either at FB or spelling a tired RB crew in the 4th quarter of blow out games.

Blow out games......lol - did I say that out loud?

ricky & cobbs already won't be getting enough work in as it is with a healthy brown. they'll never be tired in the 4th.

Just thinking:

-If I were in the ear of the brain trust, I'd be telling them it may not be a bad idea to keep this fellow around incase you have to slap the tag on Ronnie next year and shop him around (did the last 4 teams to make the SB break bank for their RBs?).

-Lex may also give the organization a little better leverage when contract negotiations start.

-Ireland may very well be able to sell Lex before week six for much higher then the sixer we spent on him. He may already be working on any value whatsoever (better than a cut).

-Perhaps its Cobbs he's working on selling. He's the biggest one of the three I'd most hate to lose because he does it all and does it all so damn well but I'd certainly take a 2 for him, take him being a piece of bringing in a "Marshal" like deal. Also, he's probably sold himself the best out of any player last year or in our preseason (out of the ones you can bear to package).

-They may really be thinking about a future for this kid. Open a hole for the guy and he runs with conviction. Plus he's cheap. You chose your OLine to overspend on. If you got holes that your money makers are making then its a cheap guy who you'd prefer hit them especially if he's hitiing them as well if not better than the expensive guys.

I happen to like Hilliard a whole bunch. If someone can teach this kid some bug eyes, some vision ( AND LEARN TO STOP PITCHING HIM THE BALL), he's going to be a monster. Worst case scenario he has the potential to become a Cobbs type player. Those players are priceless (until the price they garner lessts you double, maybe triple your investment and continue to build for the future).

True dat. One word for him VALUE! In this offense you can never have enough RBs with ability and heart.
