I assume LH is on our 53 man roster. If he's on the practice squad, can he be brought up? I believe he is going to have a monster game tomorrow night. 50+ yards rushing and a touchdown or two. He's perfect for the red zone, big and, not extremely fast, but fast enough. He'll be hard to stop inside the 5 yard line. Plus he's hungry and ready to show the coaches what he's capable of. He's really auditioning not only for our team next year, but for other teams as well. I don't know what his contract looks like but wasn't he a college free agent? I would love to see he and Polite lined up in split running back position, two tail back formation, and let the defense try to figure out who's going to get the ball. Also a great formation for play action pass. Everyone knows what Polite can do in short yardage. LH is a hybrid Polite Ricky kind of player.

:woot:

He's on the 53 man roster since the beginning of the year and been active for several games (if not all) as a special teamer. Now is the time for him to show us what he's got...

im interested to see what hes capable of, i wish it didnt come to this but i did see some flashes of potential from him in the preseason. Hes a big athletic guy, im not expecting a career day but hopefully he can step up and help us win in whatever way he can.

I'm expecting a career day for LH....since his career best thus far is 0 carries for 0 yards...

Lex had a couple nice games in preseason against guys trying to make a roster. we're talking mid-season game against a starting NFL defense, albeit, statistically poor against the run. Bottom line, O-line has to block well and move people for him.

haha tru, you know what i meant tho

he was also running behind the backup offensive line. Idk, im not sure how hes gonna do, hopefully well but we'll see...

I have a feeling a lot of people will be very disappointed when Lex gets a chance. I hope thats just the pessimist in me, but I just don't think he will be anything special.

The thing with Lex is he is a pounder, he's gonna run where the play is designed to go and hit the hole like a FB. He doesn't have the ability to make that one cut and go that Ricky can....it's gonna be on the O-line to open holes or I dont think Lex will have any real success.

yea, i never realized he was 240lbs. i thought he was smaller than that

maybe Sheets can break out, who knows...all i know is were gonna need one or both of them to step up, this Ronnie injury is huge if its for the year.

Hilliard ran physically during the preseason, but it didn't look like he had much vision or feel. It looked like he just went full blast into the called hole. I hope I am wrong, but he appears to be a major step down, as we aren't blasting holes open. A lot of our big runs have been cutbacks and patient running by Ricky and Ronnie. JMHO.

Lex runs hard, I'll give him that, and if someone try's to arm tackle him he'll break out of it. I don't know what he can do once he gets in to the second level as far creative running and making guys miss open field tackles. If he manages to get a handful of 5+ yard runs I think that will be good enough to give Ricky the required rest during drives.

thats what im thinking

Gotta give him a chance alot of really good running backs come from the later rounds in a draft...

So just keep giving him the rock..As long as he does not fumble I will be happy with whatever he does...

With this O line any running back should be able to run the ball...
