This will be our offensive line for the Jets game:

LT -- McIntosh
LG -- James
C -- Hadnot
RG -- Ephraim
RT -- Carey

I think we'll have VERY big rushing numbers in the game because Hadnot and Eprhaim will set an emotional tone of toughness and intensity that will infect the rest of the offense. Both players are reported to have nasty attitudes on the field, and I think that's what our offense has been missing for the past few years. Darian Barnes is another guy like this, and I think he'll contribute as well.

I would like to think so, but if that were the case why wasn't Ephraim already starting? I guess he could end up as a decent player, but you have to believe that there was a good reason Seth was starting.

Also, before last week the only two times I noticed Ephraim was when he drew dumb personal fouls on special teams.....Hopefully he can play with a little better composure and use that intensity during plays instead of after.

Im hoping that Hadnot will show he has what it takes to be a good center. Worry about getting a guard in the offseason then to take his place. Hutchinson being the primary choice.

100% AGREED I NEVER LIKED MCKINNEY I HATE TO SAY THIS BUT IM KINDA GLAD HE IS GONE NOW WE CAN FIND OUR CENTER OF THE FUTURE.

Well, I read the Jets have been outscored on the road like 146-56 or something like that. They are 0-7 on the road. The Dolphins will be looking for payback for Week 2. I'm starting to think it won't even be close.

We have an uncanny ability to play down to our competition...

Let's hope that Saban has put enough into these guys to not let that happen here. Beating a divisional opponent badly is a great way to show we have turned the corner, regardless of how poor that team is playing.

I have made the mistake too many times of getting overconfident about our chances against the Jets....we seem to lose to teams like the Jets and Browns and get up for better teams like Denver and San Diego. I think the Phins need to remain focused and not take the Jets likely. I would be very surprised if we could not pound the Jets, but I also agree we seem to play down to the level of our competition.

I think we are getting there, but don't forget the Buffalo game. We beat the Raiders, then laid an egg for 3 quarters @ home vs. Buffalo. For all the goodwill that has come from that game, don't overlook that we came out flat as hell ahd should have/would have lost if not for some poor decisions by Buffalo.

We are no doubt gaining a mental toughness under Saban, but I don't know that we have seen enough to say we're where we want to be yet. If we play like we should against the next two lesser opponents, I'll feel like we have finally gained the ability to play football week in and week out on a consistent basis.

I believe Ephraim is one of the participants who got into a fight during training camp or during a preseason game right? I could have sworn he was the guy that got into it with Matt Roth at one point. Definate nasty streak.

Actually when I was watching the Buffalo game I didn't get the impression that we came out flat, but rather Buffalo scored under some pretty lucky circumstances. I mean, I wasn't really surprised at all in our 4th quarter resurgence. We were moving the ball well against them, we just started out slow, as we have in COUNTLESS other games, and Buffalo took advantage of LeJeune being out there at safety and then on another deep one they took advantage of Travares Tillman in zone coverage. Their third touchdown was pretty much due to their punt return. On offense we were moving the ball, on defense we were doing a good job from play to play normally, we just got snake bit by a few lucky plays. Take away LeJeune's presence in the secondary on that first TD, and Tillman's bad coverage on the second TD, and that game ends something like 20-10, with the Phins leading since some time in the 3rd quarter, much like the Chargers game (minus the garbage TD).

Its not very often that shufling the o line leads to big rushing yards. Usualy it leads to miscomunication and missed assignments.
