Linebacker phiosophy questions

On almost every team, you need:
atleast one

a-run stuffing linebacker
b-cover linebacker
c-pass rushing linebacker

On this team, I don't know whos who. Timmons, 5yrs ago to me, would have been a, b and c but now idk. Good addition nonetheless. PLEASE HELP!

All LBs on our defense play run first, pass (cover) second, and neither of the three need to be pass rushers We rely on our defensive line for that. We don't and won't blitz often.

We've done ok job slowly addressing the problem, but we need to shore it up this off-season so we don't have a bunch of LB's that are "D"- none of the above.

Miamis scheme doesnt ask the lbs to be pass rushers in anything other than overload and gap blitz

And barring changes thats exactly why miami isnt gonna use a lb as a primary sub edge rusher...now under burke it could be slightly different but the des and dts are the primary pass rushers

Thats also why strong side lbs as 2 down players for miami at least with its more pressing needs shouldnt validate top 50 picks
