Link to small town Indiana article on Cam's tenure at Indiana

Check out what Chargers QB Phillip Rivers had to say about Cam. This sounds like a really good sign to me.

''He's going to be a heck of a head coach,'' San Diego quarterback Philip Rivers said emphatically by phone."

Further down it in this article it mentions something about what Saban is up to these days. I can't say I'm surprised. Saban definitely thinks pretty highly of himself. :shakeno:

"Another involved official said Saban has irritated Dolphins management by trying to hire some of Miami's assistant coaches. Meanwhile, Saban is drawing the wrath of fans of his former school, LSU. According to Louisiana Gannett News, the new Alabama coach has targeted several of LSU's oral commitments. The recruits' parents said Saban has been taking credit for LSU's 22-4 record the past two years and indicated LSU's coaching staff can't compare to his. What a guy!" :sidelol:

Maaan. I know I feel better about having Cam as our head coach now. It's like the hurricane has come through and the sun is starting to break through the clouds. Hopefully, it stays that way for a good while.

Agreed. It's great to have a real pro coach taking over instead of a "not ready for prime time" fraud like Saban.

Everyone who has worked with/for him have said nothing but great things about the man. He is not a big name right now but give him some time. I wasn't the biggest Cam supporter while we were choosing a coach but I am liking the idea more and more all of the time.

I like Cam Cameron. Both the coach and the person. I wish him nothing but total success, especially since he's our coach. He is a guy who deserves to win in the NFL. A classy guy, unlike our former coach who will remain nameless

Great Read!

"Why? Rivers laid out several reasons: ``He has respect in more than just offense in our locker room. He has knowledge in all phases of the game. He has a confidence that's very contagious that feeds off on young players. He's pulled things from so many great coaches that he's been around.
'He's a heck of a teacher -- he had a huge impact on me. He's very creative. His method works. He said, `Let's do what we do well. Just don't change because it fits the defense.' His ability to reach players and develop players like myself'' is outstanding.
Oh, and one other thing: ''He's a heck of a motivator,'' Rivers said. ``Many people think you have to earn respect by being Mr. Tough Guy. But you can earn it the same way by going about it differently. He's got a fire if he needs to light it, but he also knows when to be mellow and back away. The guys respect that. The Dolphins are getting a heck of a coach.''

"Don't think every coach draws such effusive praise. When Chan Gailey was still in the mix for the Dolphins' job, one of his prominent former players said of Gailey: ``If you don't have anything nice to say. . . .''

:sidelol: So glad we didn't get Gailey!

The same can be said about Cleo Lemon.
