Updating previous reports, Sports Radio 1130 WDFN AM in Detroit reports the Detroit Lions had free agent QB Shaun King (Cardinals) in for a workout Tuesday, Sept. 20. Head coach Steve Mariucci said with the team on a Bye Week, it's a good time to bring players in for a workout.

Jeff George???? Wow, those Lions are really getting desperate for a QB aren't they???

You are witnessing the end of the Harringtron era in Detroit.
 
Jeff George is the ultimate sign that your team is in deep trouble. I'd rather start Rohan Davey.

I think they're looking for a capable #2 while Garcia recovers.
 
I like Harrington. He didn't have a bad year last year, better than Carr, yet he's the one that's "on the outs". I'd gladly take him off the Lions hands if they want to dump him.
 
Harrington will go somewhere else and start and be successful. Im not sure what the Lions are doing by applying so much pressure on him. Every skill player on offense is really young, the team is young. The pressure should be on Millen after the 'Morninweg era' debacle he is lucky to have a damn job. Hes the one that set the organization back years by hiring a guy from the Richie Kotite school of coaching. Really when you look at it, there are going to be three young Qbs to look at in trade, Ramsey, Harrington and perhaps Carr (longshot though). Along with Volek and some others there are going to be a lot of Qbs available next year.
 
Honestly, feeley for a 5th might work for them... I bet SAban has already checked the water...
 
WOW! Jeff George? I was kidding about him the other day and now someone is actually looking at him?

Jeff George is a joke and is washed up. I don't know why anyone would even seriously consider him.
