There are a lot of names being discussed as to who our next coach should be. For the sake of keeping things straight, here's the list of coaches the Dolphins organization has actually interviewed or is going to interview...

Chan Gailey
Jim Mora Jr.
Ken Whisenhunt (Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator)
Cam Cameron (San Diego Chargers offensive coordinator)
Ron Rivera (Chicago Bears defensive coordinator and former player)
Ron Turner (Chicago Bears offensive coordinator)
Dom Capers
Mike Tomlin (Minnesota Vikings defensive coordinator)
Pete Carroll
Brian Schottenheimer (New York Jets offensive coordinator and Marty's son)
Tim Lewis (New York Giants defensive coordinator)
Mike Martz

That's a total of 12 so far. Atlanta has hired Bobby Petrino from Louisville, leaving Arizona, Pittsburgh, Oakland, and of course the Fins with vacancies to fill.

Ken Whisenhunt is rumored to be the front-runner for the Pittsburgh job.
Norm Chow is rumored to be the front-runner for the Arizona job.

For what it's worth, my 1st choice from that list would be Ken Whisenhunt.
My 2nd choice would be Ron Rivera, and a strong OC.

its anyones guess who pittsburgh will take and personally im a little suprised they dont already have it figured out. I assure you though, Whisenhunt is not the front runner in Pittsburgh, because if he was, he'd already have the job i think.

I am not trying to be a jerk, but who is the black coach to be interviewed. i thought it was a rule to interview 1 minority coach?

Rivera was interviewed(Puerto Rican) and Tomlin(Black Guy)

1. Martz - The Rams made the playoff 3/5 years he was the coach and their passing offense was called the greatest show on turf for a reason. He was the offensive coordinator for the Rams when they won the Super Bowl. No other candidate has those credentials. His creative play design and play calling enabled an unknown white receiver (could be Welker) to catch 100 passes along with Roy Williams 80 or 90+ catches. Our receivers "SUPPOSEDLY" are on the same level as Detroit's or better and we have a good to very good running back to add to the mix, yet our offense is anemic. That tells you that the problem is with the offensive game plan. We can't bring him in as our offensive coordinator but Detroit can't stop him from taking a Head Coach job. Ronnie Brown's receiving skills was supposed to be on par with some of the receivers but he has been non-existent in the passing game, I'm sure Martz can design some scheme to use Brown's pass catching skills and alleged speed!
2. Whizenhut - Pittsburgh has always had a balanced attack.
3. Cameron - San Diego has had a balanced attack over the last couple seasons.

Yeah. Mike Martz would throw the ball to Ronnie Brown. The problem is, Mike Martz will also NOT GIVE THE BALL TO RONNIE BROWN ON THE GROUND. Martz will come in here with the desire to throw it 600+ times a season. His offenses have never shown much balance at all. He's too pass happy.

Not crazy about Martz, but like Cam and Whiz

I agree with what you are saying KB, but didnt Kevin Jones run the ball a decent ammount this year. I thought he was having a great year. I havnt looked up his stats yet though.

Kevin Jones had 181 rushing attempts. As a team, Detroit ran the ball only 304 times. They passed the ball 597 times.

2 have already been interviewed.
Thanks for trying to stir up that crap on here but it's already been taken care of.
