I'm installing the 790 app on my iphone as we speak. They are just repeating what everyone here already knew. There is turmoil in the locker room and with the head coach. This is no different than the way they treat injuries, very secretive. The team is already trounced in the media and I think Sparano is not happy that this has gotten out. I think Sparano is in a situation where he's screwed either way. On one hand he's on the hot seat to deliver a good season otherwise he's gone, but on the other hand I'm almost wondering if he's been lax in practice so the players have it easier and want him to stay around because they can get away with doing as they please as long as they collect a paycheck. Looks like the latter just backfired on him

If that happens then the bottom will fall out of this thing. It would have to be some kind for record for a team giving up on a season and coach this early in the season but I would have a difficult time seeing this team still playing hard for Sparano...very difficult time.

I think at that point you would have to fire him during the bye week although it would make no difference by then.
 
Yea JT saying they've been playing how they practice is not good for the coaching staff at all. No good coach would let their players practice sloppy. Practice sloppy, play sloppy. So is Tony really trying to get fired since he knows he's going to get paid next year anyway? A little payback for how he was treated by Ross? Because I don't ever remember them saying last year that they practice sloppy.

its gotta be payback man, either that or the guy really is clueless on how to be a head coach.
 
The vision always seen of Sparano over and over is of him clapping his hands, anguished look on his face, clipboard in hand, waving his team off the field after a dumb play resulting in no points......That is all........

That's what i'm wondering...if maybe he's doing this on purpose to get back at Ross for how Ross went about trying to replace him,because if that's the case,then Ross just needs to fire him now before things get even worse.

this hole thing is turning into a damn circus and naming the dolphins the laughing stock of the nfl right now, why hasnt ross opened his mouth and said anything??? issue a statement or something, does this guy even care about this team? Wtf???? some of us fans are overhere going nuts about wtf is going on with our franchise and ross doesnt even give a damn???

Whatever approach you have of this team, positive or negative, you're still talking about it on an Internet forum.
 
I interpret his conferences and odd responses as a negative effect of what happened in the off season. Seriously, Ross majorly embarrassed Sparano big time by going after Harbaugh last offseason. That will undermine Sparano's authority, particularly will destroy the respect he gets from those under him.

IMHO, what Ross did can work out 2 ways:

a.) light a fire under Sparano's butt and make him work harder.

or b.) backfire- make Sparano resentful, not give a flying fook, and burn the house down, a la sabatoge

It appears outcome b. is happening.
 
I never felt Sparano could return to this team after they quit on him (en masse) in Foxboro last season. Ross should have cut ties with him at that point.
Sparano has been a lame duck ever since and the players behind the scenes comments prove it.
Ireland would have been better off searching for a young, up and coming asst coach (a la Tomlin) when he couldn't get Harbaugh.
Sadly, I briefly had some hope for this team when Sparano made that speech at the kickoff luncheon. I felt that the team had circled the wagons and would play hard for him. Instead its falling apart before our eyes.
