Livas Cut

I'd love to see Livas on the PS but I wasn't really ever that sold on him as a returner so I'm glad he was cut. He seemed to lose his balance way too easily in the one game where he actually ran the TD back, which was going to limit his effectiveness when playing against better tackling ST'ers. And games 2-4 showed you just how irrelevant a returner can be in the NFL these days, as he did absolutely nothing worth noting, which is why it wasn't worth it to give him a roster spot when there is a guy like Marlon Moore who showed capability to gain chunk yardage on the offense.

Another epic fail by this retarded coaching staff. I can't wait for your stupid *** to get fired Tony!!

I guess if Livas fails to develop into a star elsewhere it's just a matter of all 31 other teams also failing? Or worse, if nobody else even bothers to pick him up?

Calm down.

Not keeping a return specialist is not an "epic fail" by this retarded coaching staff.

Now, not bringing in real competition at *ahem* another important position ... we'll definately see.

But, not spending a roster spot on a player limited to "return guy" isn't something I'd call retarded.

I hope you're happy, you just made me defend Tony. God, I feel slimy right now!

not sure where or when moore would see the field. he doesnt contribute jack to special teams.

Epic was a little strong, but it's definitely a fail imo.

Yeah, we really needed Merling and Baker etc... and we really needed 6 WR that we will barely use ... and we really need a head coach that doesn't know how to win. We got lucky getting Devlin after we failed to get a QB in the draft...then we blew it again. I was excited for this season, now I could care less.

You only have 53 posts....I've seen two of them, and they've both been pretty negative. The LAST thing this forum needs is another new member a handful of posts who brings nothing but negativity.

lol i feel ya on some of the moves
but im still excited this has not tempered my enthusiasm for the team
usually when people you like get cut that means this is a good team
that had to make some hard choices..

makes you wonder why they kept the extra d lineman
maybe they think they can trade 1..

Livas's return had more to do with the blocking. He made one guy miss and he almost fell as he stumbled. Hopefully he makes the PS but I wouldn't say he's our Devin Hester.

I'm with you in that I think Moore won't see the field much, but sometimes you just keep an extra guy at a position because he's good enough you don't want to lose him. It's worth having him in case someone get's injured, because I definitely see him getting some plays if he becomes the #4. He won't start, but he's got the type of skill set that you might put a couple plays into the game plan to try and get him the ball in space or even hope the defense overlooks him going deep (which it's not likely to do with Gates or Marshall).

I think Moore is ahead of Wallace on the receiver depth chart (or else he wouldn't still be here) and Wallace is gonna be active just for ST.

Not surprising. You're not worth a roster spot when the wind from someone running past you puts you on your ***.
