Back as the first team LOLB.

Good news!

Live Evening Blog for Monday

Palm Beach Post blog, live from the bubble:

Joey is back!
*Joey Porter (ankle) is back at practice. Sparano didn’t drop any hints that Porter would be present this afternoon, but Porter is in pads and participating fully. He’s not running at 100 percent, but he is playing LOLB with the first team. Charlie Anderson is playing ROLB, and Rob Ninkovich is back with the second team.
*Michael Lehan (ankle) is still out, and it looks like G Steve McKinney won’t be participating. He did the same thing on Saturday, participating in the morning and sitting out in the afternoon.
*Ronnie Brown looks like he’s favoring the right knee a little bit when he’s walking, but he goes full speed during drills. The soreness is something he’ll just have to work through.

why aren't we giving ronnie a break??? if he's favoring his leg we should be giving him time off. last thing we need is a recurrence of major injury with ronnie b4 the regular season.

we drafted parmalee and hilliard give them the reps. ronnie should be worked back in slowly.

maybe they know what they are doing and maybe RB knows how he feels as oppose to neone else. let them do what they do dude. why do ppl question everyones decisions motives and work.

Whoa, who pissed in your cornflakes man? Its a legitimate question.

You give everyone a hard time, no matter what they post. This is a message board. You know, a place for messages to be written.

I think it's just one of those things where you have to learn to work through the soreness. I tore my ACL in high school and it's tough to bounce back after working on it, but it's something you get used to. From what I understand, there is virtually no more risk of re-tearing the ACL due to practicing than anyone without a prior injury would have.

I read that Beck is throwing deep balls. Isnt he suppose to be down?

The ONLY way Ronnie will improve or get better is too work through, sitting him does nothing.

i dont give ppl a hard time. just b/c i state FACTS dont mean its a hard time. I apologize for not choosing to be in denial like other ppl. this is a message board, usually its for INFORMATIVE POSTS not MISLEADING POSTS or POSTS that are rediculous such as....Billy Bob THornton just got released, hes a RB but we already have 5 RBs on teh roster adn we drafted 2, shoudl we pick him up? sorry stuipd threads like that tend to piss ppl off.

should i point out the next time i feel you make a stupid post???

anyways...working ronnie brown back into the mix and getting over soreness doesn't have to be in both practices on 2 a days.

why not give him 1 practice during 2 a days to work out soreness and what not from the prior day and let him rehab and strength and condition in the 2nd of 2 a days.

in cases like tomorrow where there's only 1 practice let him take part in all work.

i just don't want my bell cow getting hurt due to overwork.

I don't think sitting him now would do any good. The pain and soreness will be part of his life from now on. He'll be allright:D

Actually, i read many a quote from Edgerrin James and other backs who went through similar injuries who told Ronnie not to hurry back and over do things. Its frickin July still. I realize Ronnie needs to work, but at the same time, he still has 6 weeks to be ready to go, and supposedly Ricky looks good and can go if he cant. I just hope all parties involved exercise caution.

Actually Edgerrin said something to the effect of don't slack off on your rehab workload just because your knee is feeling good enough to practice. That's probably the advice Daunte Culpepper would have appreciated getting.
