Live Scrimmage Report! (Aug. 7th)

Armando had some tweets about him, had some good runs

omar kelly praised Lex Hilliard, said he was the hardest runner out there

also they posted a few where marc colombo got beat easy, thats troubling but supposedly it didnt cause any sacks

Heard Langford had a great move on the RT one play and would have killed Henne if it was live.

Don't know if it was Colombo at RT or Murtha though.

I'm getting excited, so many players I want to see on Friday....Sheets, Clay, Pouncey, Gates, Wilson, the front 7 on D and all 3 QB don't think O'connell will get in the game....don't forget about everyone in the secondary except YB and VD, and all the RB....thank God we have our football back...

I am surprised that our defense gave up 3 td's against our offense.
It is kind of hard to read how good we are (offensively and defensively) playing against our own players.
Atlanta will be a perfect test.

The way Henne has responded to the Orton chants and the whole situation is very encouraging. He seems annoyed rather than shaken by the whole thing. That's what I want to see. Now keep it up, Chad.

Could it be the offense is moving the ball and scoring TD's on our #1 defense because we have a new offense? Maybe the D was used to Hennings predictable offense and shut it down in the past. I hope this type of play by Henne continues, (minus the pick 6) because the more success this offense has in practice and scrimmages the more confidence it will bring into the season.

Our offense definitely lacked confidence last year, among other things..

but I am very encouraged with what I am hearing about Henne lately.

So am I.

I really hope it translates into games.

Its easy to be skeptical when its just practice so if he can come out and produce against ATL on friday like this it will be a very encouraging sign.

Everything sounds good except Colombo at RT. I'm more upset that (it seems) Sparano moved Carey to make room for Colombo, rather than it being a cause of Carey's play. Carey at RT still gave us many options at the RG spot (Garner, Jerry), whereas now it's all Colombo's spot. Very upsetting to say the least.

Encouraging. I cannot remember the last time we even read anything the last few years about the offense scorring TDs, wow, plural, TDS against our defense. Passing game stats appear to be pretty good.

Sparano: Atlanta game will be treated as basically another practice, basically meaning no game prep

Columbo is getting his *** handed to him.
