Lmao at all the Ireland haters and fisher lovers

Fisher has met Ireland once - at his interview

He's never worked with him before

They could hardly be more different

But apparently Ireland is Fisher's #1 choice for GM (even though Fisher is well aware that Ireland will not be moving)

Hmmm - what to believe......

Really?

You know all this for fact?

Just because you type it doesn't make it so. I'm not saying it isn't true, but I have a really tough time believing that their paths have crossed exactly once. People that have spent a decade in the same league tend to run in the same circles.

Really sorry if this news puts a dent in your HUGE agenda. Sometimes it sucks when facts get in the way of agenda

so his record says he's a punk? ok i'll add that to my GM ranking file. sub .500 equals punk. Gotcha. thanks for clearing up my gm ranking file.

i'm referring to him stabbing his colleague in the back and calling someone's mom a prostitute when i call him a punk since you need it spelled out for you.

And again, when it comes to putting up winning seasons, Fisher is batting .350, and has gone 14-18 in his last 2. Hell we fired Sparano for just about the same crap. And there are posters who actually feel bad about losing a mediocre coach who demanded final say?

I didn't say anything about jeff fisher?

No one ever answered the question was his mom a whore? if so I need to get her number.

We have a lot of talent on this team, and still under achieved. We have not bin aggressive on offence at all and that is what kills us. Way to conservative.

If this story has any truth to it Ireland would be going to St.Louis. He has to be aware of how shaky the ground is in his current position with Miami. Yes there is much man love between Ross and Ireland but if he screws up any more with no patsy to blame for his failures, he will be gone. He should take the gm position the second it is offered by STL.

No I can't. I have my opinions, but this team is in such disarray and so screwed up right about now I'm just as clueless as the next man. For all I know, Ross and Ireland may have been on board with the split but Ireland's 88th cousin twice removed could've stormed in the interview and demanded Ireland keep total control. Nothing surprises me with this team anymore. Especially after you go on a coaching search last year when you ALREADY have a coach in place. Yeah, smooth move Ross. If I were a head coach I'd REALLY want to work under you after pulling a stunt like that. :rolleyes2:

I don't see the so screwed up part of your opinion. Losing out on a HC that had a better situation to go to is not our front offices fault. The only thing I blame them for is allowing him to use this franchise as leverage as long as Fisher obviously did.

If Don Shula was 45 years younger and he was sitting at that table interviewing I wouldn't agree with him having total control. IMO those days are dead. It's too big of a job for one man to do it all by himself, and to do it well. Only 4 NFL teams allow the HC to have final say. If that doesn't help you understand, nothing will.

As far as the Harbaugh thing, I'm always amazed how so many of you think what he did was actually an uncommon thing in the NFL, in fact in sports. Some of you let the media do the thinking for you, they seem to run you guys around like sheep. The only thing Ross did that was wrong, was not controlling that info from getting out. He was naive, I'm sure he learned his lesson.

After what took place, I don't think he has that feeling whatsoever. He must feel very secure in his job security. The owner just basically chose Ireland over Fisher. IMO, it was a smart decision. Based more on the fact that I don't think any HC should have that type of control of a NFL franchise any more.

I thought I read that Ireland wasn't even a part of the Jeff Fisher talks. That it was actually only Peterson and Ross while Ireland was interviewing the other candidates.
