Very good episode to watch if you haven’t already.

I actually thought the podcast was pretty good. He gives options to free up cap room for 2025 which is the main point, but anything we do in 2025 will likely have an impact on 2026 and beyond as well. That is not uncommonI watched this and understand when he did this podcast, he was not aware of the cuts to Mosiert, Smythe & Fuller. He talked about possible restructures and how the Dolphins could create 25 mil before even touching the contracts of Chubb, Tua or Armstead. He listed needing 6 starters and a quality backup QB and then said they would have 50% more operating capital ( Krabbs hypothetical 25 mil) this FA season as opposed to last season and he said he thinks its doable?
He didn’t even go into getting the Dolphins cap compliant, paying for their 2025 draft and having funds on the books to operate the 2025 season with the minimum restructure he threw out there (25 mil). I assume his 25 mil comes from restructuring Seiler, Brooks and Brewer but those do not even get him to 25 mil, more like 15 mil. You would have to restructure both Ramsey and Jackson to get you to 25 million before touching the Tua, Chubb and Armstead contracts and that 25 million he bring up, only allows you to be cap compliant, pay for your draft and have some operating money for the 2025 in season moves, forget about paying for 6 FA to fill starting roles before the draft!
He talked about signing 2nd tier offensive and defensive lineman, linebackers and safeties for 4 mil, thats 6 players @ 4 mil each (24 mil total) and if you are paying that type of money to those positions, you are not going to be bringing in 2nd tier type players at that price point. You also have to include a quality backup Qb @ 7 or 8 mil a season. Just those 7 positions gets you to 31 or 32 mil, I guess if you backload or add void years its less up front but strains future cap numbers because your REALISTICALLY looking at doubling the number Krabbs mentioned to 50 mil to get all this done, not the 25 mil he stated in his podcast. It means a combination of Tua, Chubb and Armstead must be restructured!
No way Krabbs hypothetical work without either Post June cutting Chubb and Armstead and restructuring Tua’s almost 19 mil to get this done. You then will have 3 new staring positions to fill and those replacements a LT, OLB and CB wont come cheap, nor will there be much talent available when money is freed up in June!
Krabbs to me, painted a rose colored glasses picture that was not remotely accurate to get to the draft, in order to be picking BPA. Just my opinion.
He mentioned getting to 25 ml without touching Tua, Armstead or the Chubb contracts and creating 25 mil which to spend on what he sees as 6 starting position players. He failed to get cap compliant before spending that 25ml for new FA players. That scenario is not realistic that he painted. No way you can pay 6 tier 2 starters and a decent back up Qb with 12 mil. I don’t care if they all are backloaded and you pay each 2 millI actually thought the podcast was pretty good. He gives options to free up cap room for 2025 which is the main point, but anything we do in 2025 will likely have an impact on 2026 and beyond as well. That is not uncommon
There is also savings in 2026 and beyond in the Chubb and Armstead contracts that can / will be created with post June 1st moves to help with back loading any contracts in 2025
I'm not saying this is ideal or how any of us would handle our own finances, but in the NFL, we see this all the time

This imo is a very very inaccurate broad generalization of Krabbs work.I've tuned out the majority of team-specific YouTube content creators, even to the point of blocking some of them. I honestly hope we move past this era of people taking their insights and trying to monetize them. We've lost so many reasonable posters who are perfectly smart people. Unfortunately, they realize they can make a few bucks doing a podcast or a quick YT video and so they do that instead and cash in.

YouTube is increasingly flooded with everyday fans doing this. They don't really have interesting insight. They just want to make money doing the same stuff we're doing here which is talking Dolphins. It's pathetic watching some of the livestreamers beg for $5 donations. Kyle isn't a livestreamer, but he's doing content for profit.
You look at the livestreamers and they're whoring themselves for donations. Travis stole content from boards like this to help fuel his own website and ultimately got hired by the Dolphins only to do meaningless BS social media outreach garbage. To me, that's a waste of a good mind. But again, if he wants to sell his "services" it's his business, I just wish I didn't see content from boards I was posting in making its way to his personal webpage...that tends to leave people like me pretty jaded.

Anytime you remove yourself from actual discourse / conversation with real people you tend to get stale. Distancing yourself from people who will challenge your ideas is unhealthy. Moreover, most of these public figures end up getting more of their "fan interaction" on Twitter which leaves them feeling angry and jaded. Hence, they further distance themselves from what they view are moronic fans.
Ultimately, long-form discussion that involves other people is better. Putting yourself on an island while arguing with idiots on Twitter ain't a good trade for peace of mind or Truth.
Add in the fact these content creators are now on the hook to sell views/subs and it's inevitable they'll have to cater to what their audience wants. The irony of starting a platform is that in the end, you won't have a voice. You're giving up your actual voice and your anonymity for...pay.
Kyle's a nice guy but like most, he repeats himself and is very non-specific and vague. He rarely makes direct statements about what is bad or about what he personally would do if he were running the team. He tends not to take strong stands because he lives in a world where that's counter-productive. One has to wonder if perhaps he's looking to follow Travis' route and ultimately get tapped as an outreach person.
The sad reality is, the guys inside some football teams aren't actually any more qualified, LOL. Still, if you're an "expert" I think you need to be willing to call certain moves bad for the sake of identifying your own position. If you're a public figure that can be counter-productive. Most of these guys are dreaming of getting a media credential, free tickets, etc.

He is the complete opposite of the scrubs that you describe in this post.
I’ve known his record in evals and analysis since he started and their isn’t anyone better in the game.
He’ll be in a front office very soon..I’d put a lot of money on it.
