With the debate about Tannehill does anyone know what we have in Logan Thomas. He's currently assigned to the practice squad but was a fourth rounder and I've read a few articles where many Cardinal writers feel they gave up on him too early.

His measureables are good and he is big and very mobile. When you see Tyrod Taylor, Ryan Fitzpatrick etc all dump all over us and look like Hall of Famers it seems to me that with the right coaching there are a lot of guys out there who could/can become decent starters in the league.

Does anyone have any scouting info on him or ideas as to whether he has potential to be anything other than practice squad material?

Found this regarding Thomas, unfortunately it sounds like the same broken record

Suspect field vision and questionable passing instincts. Needs to speed up his eyes use and decipher his reads quicker. Seems to have a handful of mind-boggling decisions each game. Throws too many fastballs and needs to develop touch and timing to deliver more catchable balls.

Holds the ball too long and needs to develop his internal clock. Mixed results when responding vs. extra pressure. Not heavy, but lacks explosion in his movements. Questionable ball security and holds the ball too loose as a runner.

From what I saw in the limited time he saw on the field in Arizona, HE SUCKS. Much rather have Tannehill, and that's saying something right now...

best idea is to play him to secure a higher pick. Can RT fake an injury?

i know its hard to believe but if you look at stats on NFL.com, Ryan Tannehill is rated #3 in the AFC in passing yards.

(Jarvis Landry for receiving, Kelvin Shepphard and Reshad Jones for tackling, and Grimes and Jones for INT's are in the top also).

What does that have to do with Logan Thomas?

I'll give RT one more year. Not using the bull crap saying Tannehill under a new system. If he don play well next year. I'm done with him.

Being a Virginia Tech fan, I watched a LOT of Thomas....he has the size just not the smarts....there was talk of actually moving him to WR or TE at one point...
