If you logicly look at Sunday it would most likely serve us best to lose the game and secure a draft selection of #11-13. It would give us so many options of picking up any of 3 huge need areas, DT, MLB, or FS. A win could result in a pick in the 20s where we will not have the same flexibility, and most importantly we still probably would not make the playoffs.

I have to say I will be illogiclal on Sunday. Outside of doing it to the Jets or Pats, I can not think of a better way to end this season than keeping the Super Bowl champs out of the playoffs. I do not beleve the Jets and Ravens among other will lose on Sunday, so I have no dillusions of us making the playoffs. I am very hopeful of a great season next year, and I can't think of a better way to start it then ending this tough luck season on a strong note, and with out a losing record. I am also hoping Smith and Davis end strong against a very good Pitt WR corps, and Henne finishes his season on a strong note. I would love to see him take a couple shots deep to Ginn. That lost TD broke my heart last week, but I think that play can be there more often.

How about everyone else? Are you going with logic or love?

I like the scenario we are in. Im not thinking about play-offs, but its nice to even have the slightest chance going into the game.

We lose we get a great draft pick.
We win, we COULD make the playoffs (but we wont). A win also puts a good finish on a tough season.

Im happy either way. However I will be rooting for a win, but wont be upset if we lose. :)

We won't be picking in the 20s. The rules changed that if you miss the playoffs your team automatically picks between 1-20. If we lose we definitely have a top 15 pick and as you mentioned could pick as high as #11.

If we win, we are probably looking at a pick between #16-#19

i almost hope we lose too. especially if it is a difference of 11th pick to 19th pick. not only do you lose that 8 spots in the 1st but every round. there is a lot of value there. in the later rounds those extra spots can be used to trade up and down to get who we want.

usually i agree that losing is no way to become a winning team. but this team has had so many injuries and has gotten so much youth experience this year, that no matter what the record, we are fine losing one more game.

As i said before.
I am rooting for a Fin win... Especially because i know so many idiot Steeler fans here in Central NJ.
BUT...
I will not take it to bad if we lose and end up with the 12th pick.
