LOL @ Matt Millen....

If it's purely a talent evaluation position, it's an excellent move. If he's put in charge of the cap or trades, it's horrible.

Thats like jumping from the frying pan into the fire.

In my book ....even his talent evaluation is in question..

Millen is a tool. He should've been fired a long time ago and just the fact that he is looking to hire Speilman speaks volumes about his stupidity.

i liked the fire millen chants that happening at lions game, especially when they played the bengals, lots of lions fan wore orange to protest against millen.

they even had a march against him before the game.

also funny when in other michigan teams homes, fans have started the chant.

even funnier when someone during a redwings game in atlanta holds up a fire millen sign.

this guy is a total failure. think the lions are 21-59 in his reign. absolute ****.

ford is a total dope.

millen went 21-59 during his five years so far and what did ford do before season started, gave him FIVE MORE YEARS?

ford should be recalled while millen should be fired.

How does any team miss so bad on so many high picks??? I'd say they don't, it's the coaching and leadership that should be in question in Detroit, starting with Millen. I don't care what any of you say, Speilmen gets my respect. Sure he made some bad choices but many coaches and GM make bad choices it's a learning experience and since he only had one season as GM I think it's a bit unfair to judge Speilmen off that one season. But would any of you like to see Poole, Hadnot,Welker, Booker go to a division rival?? I wouldn't, so all his choices were not mistakes.

millen made good draft picks. the players haven't been coached properly

I agree... but lately Roy Williams is playing pretty good. I think he is going to be a star once they find someone to throw him the ball.

Harrington wasnt a bad pick

Charles Rogers wasnt

Roy Williams wasnt

BUT

Mike Williams? come on they already had 2 WR's and need some defense that was a terrible choice

Spielman had one draft here, and four of his six picks are either starting or would be starting barring injuries/is slated to start in the future. That's pretty impressive considering we only had one pick in round one to three. Spielmans problem wasn't finding good players, because he could do that, his problem was the business side, with regards to contracts and trades.

:yeahthat: Look at who he drafted, Fletcher over Brees, Eddie Moore, etc. I wouldnt want him in charge of drafting, trades, contracts or anything in management.
