Let me start by saying that I hate bringing refs into the conversation of losing but seriously, it is downright pitiful at the job these guys did yesterday.
People will say not to blame losses on the refs bla bla.. We're not the players or coaches, were the fans. We can. Especially when playing a team like the Saints. Its hard enough winning against a team of that caliber, but then to add in the refs as well.. Sheesh!
Top blunders that made me laugh because of the obsurdity...
-Camarillo's "forward" pass
The pass NEVER WENT FORWARD!
The pass was not a pass at all! He tripped over himself trying to get out of bounds and he juggled the ball.
That call is wayyy too subjective!
Jake Grove, our center, gets called for false start
-Same drive as the Camarillo blunder, Grove gets called for a false start? WTF? A center getting called for a false start is one the rarest calls. I'm calling BS on that one.
-Darren Sharper's "Touchback"
Ball CLEARLY popped loose before he got into the endzone.
Nothing else needs to be said about this play, other than it cost the Dolphins 7 points.
-Colston's "forward pass"
Colston essentiall did the same thing Camarillo did, getting the ball over the goal line by fumbling the ball forward. Only with this play, the Saints, who had NO TIMEOUTS got an EXTRA play. That Drew Brees TD should have never counted. How come theres a 10 second runoff when an offensive team has a false start but theres no runoff in this situation. Refs screwed us BAD on that one. Once again, another 7 points that should have never been.
Look, I understand referees are humans and are subject to errors, but these are supposed to be the best at what they do and also had replay to help them better call the game. Bogus pass interference calls are one thing but two plays that literally cost the Dolphins 14 points is unacceptable.
