long ball is gonna put a hurtin on the fish

I think it should be pointed out that our stud acquisition, Schulters, played with the third team because he doesn't know the D yet.

yeah, and tebucky jones ( i know, not the same caliber, but a good player still) wasn't exactly getting a lot of 1st team reps either.
 
Tebucky Jones needs to start at Saftey

And hopefully Travis Danials is on the fast track to stardom.
 
Tebucky and Shulters will be good in the deep ball game they are both pretty fast and know how to play the position Tillmann is a good backup and situational player. CB suprised me i thought they would be alright not that bad. i hope Miami's streak of no 300 yard passer goes on for a while

ha, well...assuming teams don't run all over us this year like they did last year...I'm not sure, we play some decent QB's this year.

If we start Howard, I don't see that standing at all, not even close. I saw him get burned deep several times. Also, wasn't it him that had possition, on a swing pass, to make a tackle and got juked out of his shorts only to have Thomas come across and finally knock the guy out of bounds?

well yeah but with that 3-4 high-bred thing i think we should do well against the run. we gotta wait till a few more games to see whats going on with Ronnie Shulters Jones

Exactly and nothing p!sses me off more than someone referring to our Dolphins as fish. :fire: Well, almost nothing, because one needs to consider the source in such instances.
 
It's one very early preseason game...so we should temper what we've seen so far. Schulters isn't starting yet and Jones did start because of the hamstring issue.

that said, the run defense is STILL something I'm going to keep an eye on. We gave up quite a few yards per carry last night.

you know you have a point there. I guess we all just assume lance is going to be handed the job, but you never know.
