I'd pass
He's only played 3 seasons. I'm not seeing where the injury issue is taking a toll. He rushed for 900+ yards in each of his first two seasons and averaged over 5.5 yards per carry in the 9 games he played last year. We haven't seen anything yet that suggest he can't play at his 2020 level have we? The 3.7 yards per carry number from 2019 wasn't good, but it seemed like he bounced back in 2020 prior to getting injured again. I would love to have Michel as one of Miami's top two backs.Yeah pass as well, the injuries have take a toll on him.. liked him coming out
But I mean hey I’ll take a shot, maybe they want fejedelem
I always hated to whole "No trades in the division!" theory. I say you take the best trade available regardless. For example if the Cowboys are offering me a 1st and 3rd round pick for Howard and the Patriots are offering a 1st and 2nd I think it would be best to take the Patriots offer. The whole fear if you trade in the division that player is going to come back to beat you idea, if the player is that damn good maybe you should reconsider trading him at all. People take it to the extreme , not just talking about not trading elite players in the division, there are people who hate players like Jakeem Grant, but are still afraid to trade him to the Patriots or Bills. No trading in the same division unless it is a steal. Flores knows him well. This would be a total move by him imo.
I personally don't like Michel and think he is overrated. That said, I would trade a 7th for him.
I don't think Sony Michel is going to sign an expensive deal in 2022 when he's a free agent. Unless he has an outstanding season, he likey would cost less than what you play a backup guard. I'm all for drafting a back in 2022, but I don't think having Gaskin, Brown, Ahmad, Laird, Doaks and Scarlett means you shouldn't bring in someone like Michel. I think Sony could make the 53 man roster in that group. In a league utterly dominated by QB play and defense.
Why on earth is such a huge portion of our fanbasse obsessed with acquiring runningbacks?
This is not 1995, dominate running games get you to the playoffs sometimes but they NEVER win the Superbowl anymore.
I dont know if it's the influence from fantasy football or what but its wildy out of the ordinary.
Aquiring Sony for example would require, a loss of a draft pick, a chunk of our salary cap for 3 to 4 years that would be alot more expensive than drafting a RB in the draft, Sony also gets hurt often.
I feel like we should start a support section for fan who irrationally want to sign every RB available
