I saw in the BigO thread that some were asking about Ed Perry. I would like to see Perry back with the Dolphins in 2004 but there was a signing in February that some are forgetting or not addressing.

Is the thinking here that this guy will be cut at the conclusion of camp? Or have we just forgotten about the signing?

With the progression that Donald Lee has made and the report that I saw (forget where) about Miami looking for a backup TE-I don't think the Dolphins have any intentions on bringing Ed Perry back.

The Dolphins signed long snapper William Delahoussaye. Delahoussaye, 6-2 and 242 pounds, was undrafted in 2003 out of Louisiana-Lafayette.

It should be a priority for the FO to resign Perry.
Look what happened last year when he got hurt.LS's don't usually get paid alot so the FO should resign him.

We have a backup C named Shawn Lynch that I also believe is capable of being a LS

Locking down a good LS is a priority. A lot more important than people think. IMO though, as good as Perry is, I would love our LS to have another role on the team as well. I don't care what the depth chart says Perry filled no other role.

Do I remember correctly that when Delahoussaye signed that he wasn't even invited to a camp last year?? Now that could be due to an injury or something but it does sound like he was brought in as cheap, emergency insurance. Perry needs to be resigned.

By the way, does anyone know how Perry's knee is? Will he be ready to come back by camp? It was a torn ACL wasn't it?

We really need to sign Perry back. He is one of the best LS in the game. There has been no mention of interest of him from other teams or ours so I'm confused on the situation. I think the other guy Delahoussaye was signed in case Perry wasn't brought back but for insurance only especially since we cut Jeff Grau.

I'm sure the team wants Perry back but right now the main thing is Boston and then they'll worry about the rest imo.
