Fin Fan 4 Life
FinHeaven VIP
Hey guys:
After lurkiing on your Site for the past few years, I finally decided to sign up!
I've been a Fan for most of my 43 years (started rooting when I was 9 and watched the "longest game ever played" on Christmas Day). Almost everyone around me in Connecticut is either a Jets or a Giants (or Pats) fan, so I guess I've been used to quietly rooting on my own all these years (which fits in with my lurking habit).
My favorites over the years have gone from Griese and Csonka and Warfield and Mandich to Woodley and Vigorito and Tony Nathan to Marino and the Marks Bros. and Crash to Ricky and Chambers and Zach and JT. (Truth be told, I was a Fiedler fan for a while, and supported Wanny for his first few years, until I realized that Jay was only going to take us so far and Dave was a terrible head coach.) I also supported a bunch of Spielman's moves when they were made (Feeley/Surtain/Ogunleye/Gordon, but looking back it's easy to see many were shaky. Needless to say, I'm thrilled to have Saban and Mueller.
I've been down on Madison the past few years. His skills have diminished, although they're still better than a lot that's out there, and I'll admit I think he tackled more aggresively and effectively last year than in the past, but it's the ****y attitude and STUPID penalties game after game over the past few years that have made me want him to be cut for some time now. I'm kind of old school when it comes to players showing off and mouthing off, especially after making what should be routine plays, so Madison's not the only one who gets me going in this area (see Randy McMichael).
I'm excited about the Saban era and look forward to the Fins return to the top of the AFC East and (hopefully) the AFC and NFL.
Hey, I have one question: I'm interested in joining the VIP area, but was wondering if there's a way to preview it before signing up.
