Say what you want about Bob Kuechenberg's comments, but the one he made that was on the money IMO is that this team "has no soul."

Of course "soul" isn't a word you often hear used about a professional football team. So what the hell was Kuechenberg talking about? :shakeno:

For me a "soul" on a professional football team is nothing more than quality leadership among the players that establishes a team identity. A team identity in my book is a style of play a team can expect from itself come rain or shine. This team has none of that, so IMO Kuechenberg was right on the money.

Also notice that our current team leader, Jason Taylor, responded to Kuechenberg's other comments (Saban mostly) and not that one. Of course there could be several reasons for that, but my money's on the one that on some level Taylor knows Kuechenberg is right.

If we're gonna to go into Soldier Field and win this game today, we're gonna to have to have a soul. For me that means someone on this offense needs to step up and LEAD this effort.

I'm hyped about this one today fellas. I don't know if we'll win or lose, but I do think we'll see more of a soul out there today. And based on what I've heard so far I think our "soul man" will be Joey Harrington.

LET'S GO FINS!

I agree.....Joey is fired up for this game, everything I have heard him say in his interviews reeks of leadership!! Step it up JOey TODAY and get us a win!

we can possibly win if joey doesnt turn the ball over inside our own zone like he has done in the NE game and last week. The defense can handle Thomas Jones and Grossman as long as we dont give them only 35 yards to go for a score.

Ronnie needs 25+ carries. IDC how he is running in the first half, he is notoriusly a better second half runner and we need to utilize him.

Pass to Chambers in double coverage even. He needssomething to workwith.

Man, I hope we can pull this one off in Chicago today. I think we have a "soul man" in Jason Taylor. No doubt about it. Maybe Jason could get an .mp3 of "Soul Man" by the Blues Brothers and play it on his iPod before the kickoff. :chuckle:

I bet Jason will be plenty fired up about this game today. I wonder if Kuechenberg will be at the game? If he is and we manage to win this one, I'd like to see JT personally go over to Kooch and give him a hug and talk about hobbies.

Yes,yes and yes. I would already hire you over Moolarky. You're 17 (No disrespect) and you get it better than he does....

I don't expect us to beat the Bears by any means, but giving them a tough game today would be sufficient enough in my eyes.....

PHINZ RULE!!!!

i just want to see them giving them all for 60 minutes. if they do i think we'll have a chance

was i right or was i irght give ronnie the ball 25+ times and we win, he is a better second half runner. yupp im a genious haha

Well I think we found it. I just hope we can continue to have one the rest of the year.
