The Miami Dolphins showed marked improvement on offense last night against the Colts, playing ball-control football and maintaining possession for an astounding 45:07!!!

Here are the significant stats produced by our offense:

Total First Downs 27
By Rushing 14 (Ronnie is a beast)

By Passing 13 (Pennington does not suck)

Third Down Efficiency 15/21 - 71% (This is a telling stat on our ball control effectiveness)

Fourth Down Efficiency 1/1 - 100%
Total Net Yards - 403 (OUTSTANDING!!!)

Manning and his receivers treated us like the prime rib station at Golden Corral, so our secondary has to start making plays, but our run defense did pretty well last night, as did our special teams.

Now, apply this performance to the Falcons loss and you see marked improvement on offense. Granted, the defense still needs to come around 180 degrees when protecting against the pass...but overall as a team...a much better played game than in Week 1.

The GOOD NEWS...we're still 0-0 in our division...and regardless of what happens this coming week, we'll still be 0-0 at the final gun.

If I continue to see improvement in this team, I'll be very happy going into our upcoming battles with division opponents.

I have to agree, I hate that we are 0-2 but we did improve and I hope we get better, we need to fix our defense and we still need improvement on special teams. Our secondary needs an improvement and I believe this Sunday we will be even better.

Keep the faith its all going to work out one way or another.

By secondary I hope you mean LBers and safeties. I think the receivers were handled pretty well. The rookie scored on the bubble screen at the end but i blame the coaches play calling for that. You go all out blitz and show whats coming to Manning , he's gonna burn you. I am tired of seeing Crowder tailing TE's after they make the catch. Wilson's missed tackles were a major factor in the loss as well

It is an improvement from last week, but it seems we did everyting right on offensde, kept the ball out of Mannings hands, and still lost... I find that disturbing

We have to have great 3rd down efficency since it takes us 3 plays to go every 10 yards.

The problem is we play all offensive power houses. We struggle in those types of games. You can possess the ball all you want but you have to score points to win.

Love that TOP. But this game will go show you that you can hold the ball forever but you need to score TDs at the end of the drives NOT FGs
