Redskins | Fletcher to visit on Monday
Thu, 30 Mar 2006 19:26:43 -0800
Jason la Canfora, of The Washington Post, reports free agent CB <A href="http://www.kffl.com/player/1014/nfl">Jamar Fletcher (Chargers) will visit the Washington Redskins Monday, April 3. The team has been in contact with him sporadically throughout the month.

I think Saban could work with him. Jamar was IMO one of the best cb's I have seen in college and needs to be given a chance.

Jumping would be a permanent solution to a temporary problem.

You never seen him in college then. Just because wanny speil people tried to ruin him and he was behind Sam and Pat don't mean he was never awesome.

Seems like Marty Schottenheimer had the same problem.

Also, if Wannyspeil were so bad w/ CB's what about Madison and Surtain..

did everyone forget how he played for us last time? Fool me once...

Probably because they were Jimmys boys. Jamar has the talent he just needs a system and BETTER COACHES.

Jamar was a great college player that didn't translate well in the NFL...

Between Marty Schottenheimer and Wannstedt nobody could get anything out of this guy...

You either got it or you don't and Jamar just didn't have it in the NFL

Jamar didn't play bad for us. I thought he was a solid nickle back. Just because he didn't replace Sam or Pat didn't mean he sucked. SD has never been a team that can develope cb's and wannyspeil traded him before he had worked with Bates, Sam, and Pat long enough IMO.

I'm 1/2 with ya. Fletcher I believe was voted in the top 100 gretest college players by the link below.
http://www.collegefootballnews.com/Top_100_Players/Top%20100%20Players%20-%2094%20Jamar%20Fletcher.htm

a lot of mock draft and draft gurus thought he was the real deal.

when Wanny drafted him, I did scratch my head, but I thought we got another stud in the defensive backfield so I wasn't so bad.

Some guys just can't flat out make the transition to the NFL.

Now should the fins jump? I think his time here is done, no way this guy would feel confadent in a Fins uni again, even with Saban at the Helm. Us fans would rag this guy to no end.

You're absolutely right. I see how the chargers took a chance on him, but he stunk there also. You'll just have to accept that this guy stinks.
