Lookin For Ted Ginn Stat

The stat you most likely are looking for is drops, which you cant tell by comparing attempts vs. completions. Passes deflected, intercepted, overthrown, underthrown, or just throw away all can be credited to a WR as an attempt. As far as drops go I'm pretty sure that 2 is wrong anyways.

My favorite source for evaluating players if Football Outsiders. The Wide Receiver 2007 evaluation page has some interesting information.

89-C.Chambers MIA 12.7 44 12.8 46 0.0% 55 0.1% 129 970 4 51%

This shows that Derek Hagan is by far the best receiver on the roster. Note: only receivers with 50 passes thrown their way are ranked. Hagan is ranked as the 56th best receiver by DVOA. Our current receiving core is one of the worst in the NFL. Finally, Chris chambers has a DVOA ranking of 55, so the trade looks sweet from a DVOA perspective.

I have no idea what any of this means... you mind breaking that down for me?

I know for a fact that he had atleast 4 incompletions on attempts. A drag route from right to left(thrown way behind him, got 1 hand on it but couldnt catch it), a corner of the endzone throw (almost caught with 1 hand, but dropped it)... and 2 button hook routes(these were the 2 drops I saw from him).

As far as catchable passes... I only saw him drop 2 all season...

Yah I only saw him drop 2 passes all year, he has better hands than the draft buffs gave him credit for

I was pretty accurate on my predictions of Ted Ginn Jr. this past season...

I said something like 27 catches for 370+ yards and 3 TDs. He did pretty similar numbers,

I think he can go up to 42 catches for 670+ yards and 5 TDs.... I'd take that from him next season... I Hope expectations aren't too high on him...

Sarah Ann, keep supporting your Caps... I know they can't draw flies in DC despite having probably the most exciting athlete in all of pro sports... I wish he was drafted by the Kings, but Kopitar isn't too shabby either...
