I was as impressed as anybody by our total team performance last week BUT the defense played solid notching four sacks and Starks got a pick but did they get tested? I am worried about our STILL suspect secondary going against San Diego. I hope they take these couple weeks and STUDY the film of the Chargers religiously. If they don't San Diego will look at what Boldin and Fitzgerald did to our secondary and expose them.

Do you think we match up well against the offense of the Chargers?

No.

The Dolphins defense will have trouble this year against good quarterbacks.. And Rivers is a good QB... Cassel totally stinks and that's why the D looked good..

We have 2 weeks to enjoy this lets wait till week 2 to start talking about them bolts

We're already studying film on the Chargers.
The Chargers are studying film on the Raiders.

I like our chances.

Rivers I agree is a good QB......but he can get rattled and throw some arrant passes.

If we get some solid pressure and keep him thinking we will do fine.

I think the biggest threat is that running attack. I know we've played well agianst the run up till now, but we have yet to see a speed game like the charges have.

Their rush sets up their pass so effectively. We need to contain the run.

On offense we need to get the ball away quickly in the passing game and keep their defense guessing much like we did agianst the pats. After that last game I have to admitt now that we can have a perfect balanced offense and win games.

I think we will dial up some unique defensive schemes and get to rivers. With LT hurting and not getting a break i think that work to our advantage as well. I think our major problem against the cards was blowing coverage and i think hill will sure us up some. the Bolts have some good receivers but nothing close to Boldin and Fitz...Allen can hold down chambers Bell can hold down Gates....dial up some pressure and we will see their Defense is defiantly porous i think we can put some points up but by running the ball letting us control the clock.

As for Cromartie put Wilford at that spot and let Ginn move around some i think we will be fine the chargers havent had anybody slow them down i think if we slow them down and get them futreated like we did with the pats who knows.

I am worried about all of the weapons they have on offense but I am not sure about their injuries. This is going to be a tough game for the Dolphins. The Dolphins could win though. San Diego has a lot of talent but look who is coaching them. All that talent and nothing but a losing record and a pile of excuses:sidelol: They would have beat Denver if it wasn't for the Ref:rolleyes2: A lot like the Wanny years for us.

All the "i am worried about" and not one mention of Chris Chambers? Thats who I'm worried about. Along with all the other people mentioned above of course. lol

Yup been thinking about this the last few days, Revenge factor always adds to your + Play Capability (see Culpepper last year).

We all know how good and how bad Chambers could be. But when he was on, he was on :(

Saw somewhere that teams traveling from the west coast to the east coast are 0-3 so far this year. Its nothing to hang your hat on. Just sayin'. :ponder:

Chargers a veryyy good team, there still my pick for the afc even after the slow start. We need to get pressure on Rivers and shut down that running game along with all those short intermediate throws they make. I dont feel a win here as I feel the chargers have woken up but we definitely wont get blown out like we did in arizona. My prediction :

Chargers: 27
Dolphins: 17

I think the moral of the NE game is that getting pressure on the QB makes everyone on your defense look like a superstar. If we continue to do this well, we'll have lots of success. If not, well....

Negatives
*I am worried about chambers, he has a little insight into our backfield tendencies.
*I am not sure how crowder will match up with gates
*I am concerned about our defensive line holding up to the pressure of LT

Positives
*We have an extra week to gameplan
*The chargers are going to have to spend a significant amount of time looking at our new formations
*Our offensive line got a glimmer of what it is like to be good- confidence will be a bit more high going into this game

God it would be nice to win this one but I am not going to bet on it, If this game were happening in mid October i think we have a better shot.

For right now we celebrate the pats game because i think we need another 2 or three weeks to gel.
