First of all, Bush made it no secret that he wanted out of New Orleans, especially after the drafting of running back Mark Ingram back in the 2011 NFL Draft in April. Of course he changed his tune when the thought was there that the Saints could actually keep him around.
Well, you wouldn't want to be hated in the city you worked in would you?
Bush backtracked on his statements and acted as if he wanted to stay in New Orleans and was perfectly content with what his role would be. Low and behold, a few months later, Bush was traded to Miami and the saga was over.


Now let's see how the spotlight has held up for him.
~ S Jonathon Amaya - The new safety has played in all three of the Saints' games so far this season, but has recorded only one tackle. He is playing in a crowded secondary so this is no surprise.
~ RB Reggie Bush - Has played in all three games for the Dolphins and here is his stat line: 28 rushing attempts for 80 yards, 11 receptions for 71 yards, one touchdown, and one fumble lost.
Those certainly don't seem like the stats for a featured back do they? The Miami rookie Daniel Thomas on the other hand has 41 rushing attempts for 202 yards, 4 receptions for 37 yards, one touchdown, and one fumble lost.
Now Saints fans, whether he was still in New Orleans or not - is time to call Reggie Bush a bust?

This article makes me laugh... Ppl who know nothing about football are trolling dolphins fans about this...Like we gave up the farm to get Reggie Bush?

amayas been awful and bush isn't being used properly by daboll...still don't know what pick we gave up in the deal...i'm sick of this not disclosing info with this regime also

Bush can still be a valuable asset. They have to learn how to use him better and limit his number of reps.
He's talented but def not an every down back.

I have a strong feeling that Reggie Bush will be cut by any new regime that comes in...You cant pay a third down back 5 mil a year..Plus Thomas looks like he can be a stud..Lets hope we dont **** that up.
 
Some people act like we actually gave up something of value for Reggie. Geez!
 
Nothing wrong bringing Reggie Bush in. Where the wrong part starts is Dabol. The man is an idiot. Thats why Holmgren canned his *** in Cleveland. He has an offense that is no different then a 1000 offenses you see around the league. He and with the blessing of Sparano, is using Bush in a way Bush cannot be successful. Dabol is treating him like his is a Peyton Hillis.

If used correctly, Reggie Bush can add a dynamic effect to any offense. Thats the problem, he is not being used correctly at all. Send Bush to the Jets, watch the immediate impact he would have and the way he would be used up there. Dabol is a friggin idiot.

They used him the right way in preseason.
 
One of the few personnel decisions they got right was trading for Reggie Bush. But leave it to these nimrod's to f**k it up because they don't know how to use him.

These idiots haven't figured out what EVERYBODY ON THE PLANET knows, that Bush is a "space" player. The blocking has to be more than phenominal for Bush to have success between the the tackles. Use him properly and the trade looks like a steal. Use him the way we have and viola', it's nothing more than another roster churn gone bad.
 
You guys are caught up in superfluous details. Fine, don't think of it as a Reggie Bush "trade" if you don't want to. Think of it as a Reggie Bush "signing" for $5 million a year that somehow also involved us giving up a key special teamer and a 6th round pick.

And no, it hasn't been worth it, at all. The Saints are laughing about all this because they know they moved from Reggie Bush to Darren Sproles and got an UPGRADE.
 
i was definitely wrong about darren sproles...that guys much tougher than i thought...i missed the boat on that one
 
Maybe the Saints know a few things (a lot really) that we do not know.

They were over-freaking-joyed to see R Bush and his "fame" and contract and history of injuries leave N.O.

They were smart enough to sign D Sproles for half the money and twice the production.
