Looking back on my trip to Canton.

I The first question they asked me was, "How loud were the boos when Young was announced?" I was very proud to say that Young received a standing ovation from all of the fans. The Dolphin fans showed a lot of class in honoring one of the games best, who wasn't even a Dolphin.

The Dolphins fans showed so much class in honoring Steve Young. We all gave him a standing ovation and greeted him warmly and respectfully whenever he appeared, especially during the game Monday night. He walked the sidelines for a bit shaking hands and waving & smiling because we all were helping him to feel special, too. But nothing could match the countless ovations that Danny got each and every time he appeared. What a great weekend. I felt such a strong kinship with every single Dolphins fan. It felt like we were all one big family. I know that sounds corny, but that's really the way it was. One big happy family honoring the finest QB to ever put on pads.

Sunday was great! From a phinsfan point of view, but one of the best parts of the weekend had to be the round table on Monday. I wish that went on a lot longer. Young and Marino and Peter King. It was just a awesome time! GO PHINS!

I was going to write a post about my 2 days at Canton...but it was totally captured to a tee in this post. I had just flown back from a week at Dolphin training camp then me and my family and brothers family drove to Canton for the ceremony. It was the most amazing thing you would ever witness as a Dolphin fan...Dolphin fans everywhere...I mean everywhere...and you always waved and smiled and winked when you passed a fellow Dolphin fan. I have never felt more proud to be a Dolphin fan and the town of Canton will NEVER forget the day DAN went in. The stadium erupted over and over...and it was so emotional I know for alot of people...myself included. Alot of us grew up with Dan and Don Shula...and it was amazing to actually show them how much it meant to all of us!

My favorite part of the weekend was walking down downtown Cleveland, Saturday at 3:30 am, fresh off a night out with my buddies at Shooters, singing the Dolphins fight song at the top of my lungs with complete strangers in the street. Not only did we take over Canton but Cleveland too.

Dude I probably saw you that night! I was chillin at the hotel with my buddy and this girl we met there who was a huge Dolphins fan and the three of us decided to go into Cleveland that night all decked out in our Dolphins stuff. The girl and my buddy were wearing Marino jerseys while I rocked a white Chris Chambers jersey. We were the talk of the town when we showed up. Everyone was looking at us and a bunch of random people came up to us and talked to us and we drank with other Dolphins fans that night too. Wow it was such a great time.
