Maybe eifert at 12 and Brandon Albert w our second would have us in a better spot now... Hate the what if game but know that we only have 3 tackles on the roster and down a guard one an only ponder what could have been.

so do we sign Albert to a big fa contract this off season, as it appears there is only 1 top tier tackle in the draft and he will be long gone by the time we select

I was flamed for going to the wall for Albert. Looking back myself and others were dead on.

I still do not have problem with Dion Jordan. I think he has been productive when they have let him play.

I agree he's been productive and think he should see the field more not hating on dion, just imagining having an offensive line, oh how it must be nice

Well did KC wanted the 2nd we used on Taylor? Honestly I would of been ok with Patterson and Grimes then Davis or Carrol at Nickel. We should of kept Richard Marshall. We gave up to quick on him.

Trading AND paying for Fat Albert would have prevented the Martin-Incognito fiasco? It would have simply put us in the same situation we are now with McKinnie, only further buried in cap hell. If you want to play hindsight, drafting an OT makes FAR more sense than that insane trade.

I like Dion Jordan, but he was a luxury pick and the Phins were in no position to make luxury picks this draft....Albert would have been the best move for the Phins...I wasn't apart of this site at the time of the draft, but as much as Draft picks provide the illusion of hope, a proven NFL tackle was easily the smarter move for the 2nd rounder...

Should have just Sucked for Luck. Can I have my hindsight award now?

I think you wanted Yeatman to start if I remember correctly. Also, do not sleep on the fact that Martin tweaked out after being moved from LT to RT. Maybe, if he was kept at RT all along he would not have melted down. Anyways, the deal for Albert would have made the team much better. Big miss.

we all knew once the draft was done and dusted that our OL was going to be the weakness - we and more worryingly the coaches just didn't want to believe it.

Fat Albert was the sober and safer choice - Ireland went big & lost out. Another regime most likely will reap the Dion Jordan pick benefits, whilst Reid & the KC bandwagon rolls on.

I wanted Cooper or Warmack all along to make the interior line solid. Would it have put is in a better position now if things played out like they did....maybe a little better. Not mad at Dion Jordan though, he will be a beast and we will be really happy he is on our team for years to come.

If the coaches thought pre-draft that Dion Jordan was the best player in the whole draft, then you go take Dion Jordan. Drafting for need and not taking the best player available is what got us draft bust after draft bust. I'm ok with the thinking behind taking Dion Jordan. Regardless if it was a luxury pick or not.

I considered Yeatman a possibility if we didn't sign a FA, absolutely. Before the injury (I guess you saw that coming, right?), he had the most upside of anybody on the line. He looked pretty damn good out there in the limited time he got. When we signed Clabo, so that was no longer required and it gave us more time to groom him. Of course, nobody, including you, saw Clabo being as ****ty as he was. Most thought he would be a good RT, again, including you.

The trade for Fat Albert would have made minimal difference for the extremely high price. Plus, it will be interesting to see if he plays up to the contract some team is going to overpay him. As for the timing of Martin's meltdown, the lockerroom trouble dates goes back before the change to RT. Grasping at straws there. Also, didn't you praise Ireland for not signing Albert, admitting that it was too steep of a price? Changing that view based on hindsight?

Yeatman was playing as an oversized TE. He was not playing tackle. Stop it.

Btw, I thought 2b or any of the 3's were fair. 2a was too steep. A conditional next year would have been fair as well.
