Yes, we are all looking forward to seeing Hagan, Culpepper, Harrington, Lemon, and many others. But personally i'll be specifically looking at Minor, Morris and Harris. Their performances are vital in our minds because one of them will replace Brown if he is injured. The way the backs will play during the pre-season will give us an idea of what to expect/not to expect from them. Anyways, anyone else looking forward to this positon?

mmhmm. but keep in mind the other young talent on the team too like gerald riggs jr. to name one. Personally i wanna see Kay-Jay really make something happen. I'm really pulling for him.

Heres what I hope to see concerning the RB battle...

1) Minor suck and get cut... we all know what he can do, nothing...

2) Riggs, Harris and Morris light it up... want to see them get playing time...

I too am looking forward to seeing the RB battle. Normally the 2nd and 3rd RB on the depth chart doesnt matter, but in our run heavy offense its very important and significant to how we perform. I'm specifically looking forward to hearing(since I can't actually watch the game) how Sammy does. I've heard about how he has been looking great in camp and is hitting the holes better than he ever has. Kay Jay is another back I'm extremely interested in because of how Saban talked about him, and Gerald Riggs is another one that catches my eye.

Plus its gonna be interesting to see a real FB on our team ala Beasley.

Yes, I forgot to mention Riggs. IMO, Minor should be the back that gets cut this year. Harris would be 2nd and Riggs 3rd.

I am looking forward to this battle as well. IMO, after preseason our RB depth will look like this:

1. Ronnie Brown
2. Sammy Morris
3. Kay-Jay Harris
4. Travis Minor - off the team and looking for work (which I think he will find quickly...probably a division opponent  )

Minor doesnt do "nothing"..

hes not an good RB, but he has some speed, can catch the ball out of the backfield, and has starting experience. I like Harris alot, every since i saw him light up the #1 rushing defense in the nation(FSU) in their bowl game.

i wouldnt be surprised to see us keep Brown, Morris, Minor and Harris.

I agree, it should indeed look like that. I've got a feeling Morris will be used more as a FB while Harris should become the #2 RB.

thats not going to happen. Morris MAY get limited time at FB, but hes not going to be a FB, hes the #2 RB for this team. KJay could take over the 3 spot and see some touches if Ronnie gets hurt...but thats it.
