This is basically the same thing I posted at the Gang Green Message Board. I normally dont make threads here but since I have been here talking about the Jets and the Dolphins and their chances of making the playoffs I feel the need to post this.

The Jets still control their own destiny and are still in first place. But Miami is the team to beat in this division right now. The Jets look lost. They went to the West Coast against a 4 win team in a game they needed to win and lost. No excuses they looked like **** and you could tell it from the first couple snaps of the game.

As long as you guys win your next two games your gonna win this division. The book is out on the Jets and everybody knows how to play them. They spent money very well this offseason but they lack LB's that can cover.

The book on the Jets is simple. Spread them out and have a field day.

And I wouldnt worry about the 49ers next week. Just because they beat the Jets doesnt mean there playing really well lol. They did the same thing Denver did and the Jets couldnt stop it again because they simply just dont have the personal to stop it. I'm not trying to jinx you guys by saying you got this division but this looks like another season in which the Jets will either A. Struggle to win 10 and back into the playoffs before being bounced in the first round or bounced in the second or B. The most likely scenario miss the playoffs all together.

I'm not a fan who jumps off the band wagon when the team is doing bad or things like that. I always support my teams but i'm calling it as I see it. The Dolphins are a solid team. Nothing special. But with the way the Jets are playing being solid is going to be enough to win this division IMO.

Jet fans seemed very confident in their team not to long ago. Miami and NE is tied for 1st for the AFC EAST now. Who would have thought?

Too close to call IMO at this time.

Things like this happen down the stretch. Teams end up getting upset and losing games they should win on paper. For Miami to win out it would take an out-standing effort. There is still alot of football to be played in the East.

IMO the AFC EAST is the most interesting division of them all. You obviously have the whole Brett Favre escapade.

Then you have the Buffalo "wide right" Bills get 5 wins early.

And who can forget the "knee that could(not) of Tom Brady and the exaltation of Matt Cassel.

And the best story: 1-15 to 8-5 in an offseason.

And yet there is a 3 way tie for 1st and the only flop is Buffalo who didn't start looking like a flop until later.

Odd how things work out and that is what makes thiis the most interesting division

*note: I never said we were the best division. That belongs to the other EAST. But we are by far the most interesting IMO.

Jets are tied for first to and hold the tiebrakers technically putting them in first I believe. I could be wrong though.

Why wouldnt we be confident. They were playing well and werent fully exposed on D. I could sit here and tell you how great they are and show case the positives and down play the negatives like some fans do but thats not fairly looking at your team.

I think they will beat the Bills but lose to the Seahawks. I hope i'm wrong.

I think the NFC South is the best division. The Jets had a chance to put the division away these last two weeks. They've got a Jekyll and Hyde thing going on. They lose to the Raiders and the 9ers. Yet beat the Titans.

With 3 teams at 8-5 I think the AFC East to most posters on this site is the most interesting.

We thought that was over w/ after the 5 game win streak. If we played well and lose these last 2 weeks b/c those teams just played great football I could accept it more but we were awful the last 2 weeks. Of course if they don't call the phantom hold on the leon KR TD then we are up 21-17 in the 4th but good teams get the breaks and when you play as poorly as we have they don't tend to go your way.

Forgot to add yesterday at seattle Only 4 of the starting 11 of the NE defence were left on the field after injuries Mike Vrabel, Jerod Mayo, Hobbs, and Seymour rest of them all are nicked and its a tie.
