New York police are likely to wrap up their investigation this week into a March nightclub incident in which Chicago Bears receiver Brandon Marshall is alleged to have punched a woman in the face, NFL sources told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
Police have struggled to find evidence against Marshall, according to sources, and it's likely there will be no charges filed and the case will be closed.

When we signed him, despite the fact that I knew how it would go with Marshall, my aqua and coral colored glasses worked nicely in justifying why he would be different in Miami. Well, he wasn't. He was as advertised. It's unfortunate, but he will have the same issues in Chicago. Just give it time. I am more happy by the day that we got rid of him. He was a bigger cancer than I realized, and do not need him ruining our locker room.

Nice way to fashion the headline to where it assumes he's guilty.

It could be that the police are having trouble finding evidence that he punched a woman in the face...because he didn't punch a woman in the face. Novel concept, I know.

Absolutely right! That would be TOTALLY out of character for him.

whatever.... I'm sure he'll get arrested for something else in a month or so. His black cloud will follow him to Chicago as well.

Herm Edwards is always warning these guys about staying away from the clubs, and telling them, "Nothing good happens after 2 AM." Many of these guys seem to think it is worth losing their NFL careers or their lives by frequenting these clubs." I know a person should feel free to have a drink and visit a night club, but when you have had many incidents like Plaxico, Pac-Man, etc., why risk your career over it? Many guys frequent these clubs just so they can fight an athlete with a lot of cash so they can sue them....the same thing with these hoochies.

The next time he gets stabbed in the stomach he can blame it on the gusty Chicago wind...

"Honest officer, I was just walking down the sidewalk with my wife, minding my own business, when a gust of wind blew a ginzu knife into my gut! Next thing you know, a brick comes flying through the air and smacks my wife in the face! It was the damndest thing!"

i knew he would get off. it is either written off or pay the chick off should it have gone to court.

Pac Man Jones was never found guilty of anything... just saying.

Hated the signing from the start. Said so. Never liked Brandon Marshall. Dude is one of the top five pure athletes in the league but he's a mouth-breathing gutterball. Total head case. Can't keep his nose clean. Glad we got what we got for him. Surprised we got that much for him.

He'll have a good year next season in Chicago because it's new and fresh, but in the end, two divas such as Marshall and Cutler...it'll never work.

Once a player becomes a Miami Dolphin, people tend to forget who and what a player truly is because he's a Miami Dolphin. To some, that's all that matters in the long run. If a player becomes a Miami Dolphin, he's immediately worth two wins and WILL get his **** together. This is NEVER the case.

The lazy guy in your office is lazy at his next job as well.

Doesn't matter. Dude is a gutterball. Always in the wrong place at the wrong time in the middle of some kind of fiasco. Dude hangs out in questionable places at questionable times. You gotta have better judgment than that. He's a grown up. Go do grown up things and make grown up decisions.

That's what I figure = PayOff ... she took a Straight Right.

He'll be in trouble again before you know it. How many incidents has he been in??? Worst was he attracted gang bullets & got a teammate killed.

I was shocked when Tuna got him ... after all that talk about character, captains, dedication, etc. He might be worth a risk to get you to the Super Bowl ... but for rebuilding, just craaaazzzzzeeeee!! lol

I had more issues with Brandon on the field than off during his time here honestly.
