Looks like Mike Nolan is on his way Out...

More importantly how do you NOT double team the 49ers only real receiving threat and Alex Smith's favorite target Vernon Davis, and even worse he did not learn after Davis burnt them twice, on that huge play down the sideline, then to win the game how do you not double the biggest most physical "jump ball" guy they have?
LOL! yeah that too... I didnt enjoy watching that game.... FML

Good riddance. Nolan is overrated.

I'd love to see Spags coaching our D.

No way Spags comes here, we are a 3-4 defense... been drafting that way for 4 years. IMO we will get a 3-4 type coordinator or we will keep Nolan. No way we change to 4-3.

Gregg Williams should try not blitzing 7 guys and letting Jenkins get embarrassed by big vern.

Hey, this is expected, when Ross made the decision to fire Sparano that meant new coaches and players.....90% of the fan base is on board with this.....all you can do know is sit back and hope Ross knows what he's doing with the replacements.....

Yeah... I don't know why most fans don't understand this. If it works you'll have stability, if not, we'll do it all again in about 3 years.

I would much rather retain Boles as the DC then Nolan.

Not sure you can blame the DC in a game where his team had like 5 TOs if I remember correctly
I think you can blame him, given that the Saints were twice in a position to win the game in the final four minutes or so. The offense scores to take the lead, and the defense lets SF march right down the field and take it back. With less than two minutes to go, the Saints' offense scores again to take the lead. The defense responds by allowing SF to go the length of the field again and score the winning touchdown. The Saints' defense had no answers at the end of that game, and neither did SF's-- New Orleans simply ran out of time.

I love Nolan's because he's a solid DC ,but let's all relax.
Players win games ,and our defensive foundation is set for anyone who will come in and let them continue to grow.
I love our D because we have what many teams would love to have.
We have our shutdown corner, stud pass rusher, stacked D-Line, Play making inside backers, and Bell to help our young secondary grow.
If we get Zimmer we're fine on D.Don't forget Zimmer can coach a 3-4 scheme.
Zimmer is quickly becoming someone who I'm beginning to lean towards as the next coach of our team.
GO DOLPHINS!!!!

I think we could do worse than Nolan. I also think we can do better than Nolan. Watching the 49ers yesterday, that's what I want to see - a D that plays with a great deal of intensity, goes after the ball, punishes receivers, takes chances and, yeah, gets burned sometimes because of the risks it takes

Any other team w/ 5 turnovers would have lost by at least 17.

G Williams is partially culpable... He's a little too blitz happy. You don't need to go into prevent mode, but the Saints easily could rushed 5 and played 4 under/2 deep zone.

You could say the Brees & Payton are to blame; the offense scored too quickly to go up 32-29.
