The Eagles has more to worry about than their depth at receiver. With Correll nursing a knee injury, the same knee he just had surgery on, they may have to realise they have to give up on this guy. A Gordon and Thompson trade for a second or third next year would be great. Who knows when teams get desperate, especially when they feel they are this close, they make wierd decisions.

they have westbrook, remember. and to be truthful, its pointless to make a trade at this point. If they bring someone in, he'll never know there system in time to be all that useful this year.

You mean like we brought in Gordon? LOL

exactly, gordon was a chicken with his head cut off last year. Booker wasn't all that much better. A lot of people in the world truly underrestimate the kind of learning curve there is to an NFL teams playstyle and offense.

I honestly think the learning curve is overestimated. Booker didn't do bad, he actually had a good year. His receptions were down because our quarterbacks were horrible. As for Gordon, judging from what we've seen this offseason last year may be the norm.

I don't know that a substantial learning curve really applies for positions other than quarterback. Anyone traded at this point in the offseason would have a pretty good chance at performing to their career average.

Philly needs WR help, but they have Westbrook, and I believe they drafted Ryan Moats.

yeah, because it now looks like T.O might not be playing in Philly anymore with the incident with Reid. They do have rookie Wr Reggie Brown though, and Greg lewis is going to be used more, but they will need another receiver becuase Tod Pinkston is no better than Freddie Mitchell as far skills, did Freddie Mitchell go to the Chiefs, I can't remember.

i think it was more of our ol than it was our qbs but by the way our ol played it made it look like it was all the blame on our qbs ;)

The learning curve sentiment is really silly, receivers and backs can come in and play, they don't have to remember the entire playbook like a qb, for example....Do you remember when the Dolphins traded for Keith Jackson??? He came in around midseason to the fins and was an immediate impact. I mean, he was awesome for us...and he had no time to learn the offense...that's the first example that comes to my mind and I think it just shows that the learning the offense deal is an excuse and would definitely not be reason to not make a trade for a receiver or rb, especially one that would be brought in for depth.

The Eagles did just fine with Westbrook last year. While it's no secret that they want another back to keep the load off Westbrook, I don't think they are desperate.

Dangle a combo of players. Pick two from Thompson/Gilmore/Gordon/Minor/Morris or pick one from RW/Boston/Booker. Give us Corey Simon for the middle of the line and voila. Everyone gets a need filled.

Gordon was injured last season.
