Too bad. He was my first choice, by a longshot, on who the Dolphins shouild have hired. I would have been pleased to let him decide the next Dolphins coach. Although the piece notes that he turned down the Giants, I'm pretty sure that means he's not going anywhere. There was speculation that, if he were to go anywhere, the Giants would be his first choice. Lots of connections. That, coupled with the fact that WH has neen searching for HC rahter than personnelm men makes me think Pioli is not going to be involved with the Dolphins.

well i dont know if thats true because the patriots are reporting on boston sports radio that the giants are to request a meeting with pioli this week and indications on the radio is that it could be 50/50 chance he heads to his childhood team the giants.

Pioli statement

The Patriots just released the following statement from vice president of player personnel Scott Pioli, who turned down an opportunity to interview for the Giants’ general manager job:
“I am very honored to be granted the opportunity to discuss a potential position with the New York Giants. I have tremendous respect for the Kraft family, the Mara family, the Tisch family and the Giants organization. After careful consideration, and for personal reasons, I am continuing in my current role with the New England Patriots.â€Â

Scott Pioli isn't a Nick Saban He's a smart man and he isn't headed anywhere.
