I went out to do some last minute christmas shopping and headed to the the mall late tonight. We are having unseasonably warm weather where I live in the mid atlantic and for the most part I am surrounded by Redskins, Ravens, Steelers and Eagles fans. Head out to a bar and you will have no where to sit because it is inundated with mainly Ravens and Eagles fans. It sucks but that is why I have sunday ticket but I digress...

So, while shopping out tonight I had one of those "official" sidelines zip up waterproof jacket/hoodie things on with obviously the phins logo. I was probably stopped 3-4 times tonight from strangers who wanted to give props to the dolphins and talk dolphins football. In all honesty this has NEVER happened before except for that "one guy" who is a dolphins fan who you can bull**** with for 10 minutes or so.

I also went in to most of the mainstream mall hat shops and while they never had a huge selection of Miami hats, they were mostly sold out. I was asking a few people about their stock of hats and they said they sell them as fast as they get them in and it really increased after the New England win.

While I like the relevancy of this team, the bandwagon **** sucks. I guess it comes with the territory. Time to get a much bigger wagon guys, if Miami takes care of business and makes the playoffs, its going to get really crowded on the journey.

I live in the middle of Broncos country and I am starting to get the same reaction. Not as much as you, but that is only because the Broncos are doing so well.

when dolphin bandwagoners come out I swear to god im going to punch them in the face. there is no worse fan than a bandwagoner. ive been rooting for this team since I shot out of the womb, and have delt with 1-15 and still bled aqua and orange.

Hey, but look, they have some valid points, I almost resigned this year from posting (because I got so tired of being attacked), but the Richie Incognito - Jonathan Martin issue brought me back.

Our team has been basically irrelevant for the last 11 years.

I know its just a damn football game and there's more to life, but its been a long time since we have won.

I feel its good fans are now catching on.

We all want to be winners, nothing has changed from high school, when all we want to be viewed as winners and popular.

What we must teach is to be loyal and supportive, even when you lose and times get tough.

Jesus...

I live in the Dallas area and the following has always been strong rarely do I go out and not meet a fins fan when I have on fins gear.
recently at my favorite kilt I met a guy who had seasons tickets back in 72 and was at THE Bears Game... Frickin' nice chat!!

At the Grocery store today saw some one wearing fins gear.. simply said High 5.. after he looked at me like I was a Mainiac ( which Is a good call being from Maine ) he returned the high 5 and there were 3 other fin fans in the store.
the FanDom is strong.. and good and will Prevail! BELEIVE !!

dude I live in Colombia. That has NOT happened to me Ever. LOL

My wife saw some people wearing Dolphin gear at the mall while Christmas shopping the other day. She said that was a first for her and I told her that if the team makes the playoffs we will be seeing more. I'm ok with it because our team has gained some relevance again. We all know how tough it's been following this team for many years and it's good to see them have some success. 46 years as a Dolphin fan and I would like to see them win another Super Bowl in my lifetime.

I live in a small town outside of Pittsburgh. Our highschool is in Marino's highschool conference. There are a lot of fin fans here because of that.

Well it looks like we filled up the stadium last week. Was nice to see. If we start winning Consistently, the fans will show up.

Don't see many fin fans here where I live, but our online representation at NFL.com and ESPN.com is undeniably strong.

Its here by the local's too. Monday morning after the Pats win started to see a bunch of people wearing there Dolphin shirts. I couldnt help but laugh a little, but it's all good.

Welcome to the world of winning...always gonna be bandwagoners. I have 1 guy in the Supermarket I talk fins with...waiting for more to come.

Odd... No freaking lie, I live in western CT and just ran to Dunkin Donuts and the girl behind the counter said she was a Phins fan when she saw my hat and then the guy behind me was a Phin fan too. So me and the guy in line walked out and continued to chat and no lie, a kid pulled up and got out of his car with a Dolphins shirt on. Lets do this!
