Looks like we have a power back! Go Daniel Thomas!

This is Daball's doing I think. Last week I saw R Bush and Chad Henne doing almost perfect play action fakes. This week we see D Thomas put his head down and push. This is good coaching, this is why we signed Larry Johnson. LJ was a lesson to D Thomas to run hard or sit on the bench.

D Thomas was recruited by the Gators as a running QB but did not have the grades. He still sort of runs like a running RB, keeping his head and frame up. If you know D Thomas's long history from a small local HS to a JrC to a bigger college to the NFL, you know he does not give up easy. And he seems to be coachable.

I really think that on one hand the coaching on Thomas has worked and the other part it is that Thomas is listening.

Thomas was definitely the bright spot for our Dolphins today!...It's nice to see a RB take the hand-off and actually run and not dance around in the backfield "waiting" for a hole to open(remembering Ronnie Brown)

I like the guy too but the offense was worse with him in than Bush in. We need a HC that can work the two styles together in success. Last week all Bush we had a weakness. This week they went with Thomas and we had a weakness.

Did you just say the offense was worse with him? Didn't he go over 100 yards. First Dolphin to do that since Ricky in 09. Maybe the offesne did worse because of Henne's horrible play? Nah, blame it on the 100 yard rookie RB.

I'm scratching my head about all of the people who have already said he is a bust or that the coaches have no confidence in him. You know...the resident Finheaven football gurus.

I've made a lot of bad calls, Reshad Jones being a stud... for example. Proud to say that I was behind the D-Train pick though.

Thomas looks really, really good. I was let down by the execution of certain players, mostly Brandon Marshall dropping that perfect pass by Henne, and having a 20 yard field goal blocked. That was on Carpentar for line driving it. We left 6 points there at the very least, 10 points in all reality.

I am defnitely impressed with the way Thomas played today no doubt. He did great. Fumble was a problem, but other than that, he was great.

But I have had this feeling before with other players at RB like Irving Spikes for example.

So...I will patiently wait for him to display the same skills for a few more weeks before I get too excited.
