Time to focus on the draft. Dolphins have about $7 million left in cap space...you need at least $5 million sign all the rookies.

Garrard, who will complete with incumbent starter Matt Moore for the starting spot, will also receive a $100,000 workout bonus for participating in the team’s offseason program.

Garrard also has up to $1.5 million in incentives that can be achieved for playing time, touchdowns scored, and win totals.

Without factoring in the incentives, Garrard will cost the Dolphins $3.35 million in 2012, which leaves the Dolphins approximately $7 million in salary cap space, which includes the $4.3 million the team saved by releasing starting strong safety Yeremiah Bell.

I'm good with focusing on the draft let's just hope we get some good draft picks that can make a difference.

We may add some small peices for depth - maybe a DE,SS or even a WR if there are any left.

It would be wise to sign Long and Wake to extensions...

With $7 million left the only small pieces we'll be adding will be undrafted free agents. Looking at about 8 or 9 rookies this year.

And yet how many game changing play makers does this team have?

I would agree, it looks like we are pretty much done in free agency. Though as Milk Man already said, we may add some depth players in the next few weeks.

Here is the one nice thing about not being active in free agency. Miami signed only Hicks and Marshall as unrestricted free agents(Garrard doesn't count in this formula), but lost Langford, Allen and before all is said and done, a few others. This means Miami will be in line for some compensatory picks in 2013. Silver lining.

Well this is what Philbin wanted right to build through the draft so we will see if they can.

He doesn't have final say on the players so I don't know why people keep putting it on him as if he did.

Hopefully they hit a home run in the draft. If they draft a RT with the first round pick...... well that's not going to sit pretty with the fans.

I'm not sure that we are done in free agency just yet. Other teams will be cutting players for salary cap reasons in the days ahead and Ireland may extend Long and possibly Dansby to free up more space to get someone they're watching right now. Who knows but it's fun to speculate :)

I find this BS. We had 15 million and then traded Marshall and cut bell. Signed soliai, hix, marshall, and garrard and hardly have any money? That's bull ****

I remember Ireland saying that they are not rebuilding and that this team will look a lot different in August, so I don't think we're done. Do you think people are happy with the offseason in FA so far?

He may not have final say, but it would be unwise for Ireland to not get the guys he wants on offense.

Ireland's success is solely dependent on Philbin's ability.

Especially since Ross hand picked Philbin.

Unwise and Ireland do go together. I'm sure Philbin will have input but he still won't have final say. They may differ on who's a better RT in which case Ireland will trump Philbin and pick his guy. By all account Ireland is supposed to be the expert so he's going to go with his own evaluation 90% of the time.

Don't think Ross hand picked Philbin either. Ross wanted Fisher. I think Philbin was more of an Ireland pick and quite possibly the smartest move he's made since he's been here.
