I had this thought while watching him in the last (thankfully) few games of the season. He has good hands, he is quick and elusive and after checking is about the same size as Wes, only slightly bigger both in height and weight. He could potential serve very well as that #3 slot reciever. He is a RB, so we know he can take the hits.

He potentially gives us MORE options then Wes had. We can line him up at 2 spots, RB and slot WR. By doing this, he can also help us cross up the defense with a quick shift, from one spot or the other.

Short yardage, normally running down. Brown and Booker in the back field as the defense inches up to the line to stuff the run. Right before the snap, Booker shifts out to a slot position, gets behind the run stopping defense, Beck hits him in stride as he goes across the middle. If we hit it right and the WR on that side of the field takes on CB...Booker could be gone.

Just a idea kicking around in my head to make more use of him. If Ronnie does come back, we re-signed Ricky and have Chatman. Booker could be very useful in this way. Any thoughts?

Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes!

I was talking to my father about LB taking the spot wes welker had. booker has the speed and agility to get to the first down line every time he catches the ball. look at wes on the Patriots. everytime he makes a catch it is either a first down or close to it, Booker should be able to do the same thing.

He can't catch as well as most good recievers. As far as our WR's excluding Ginn, he probably could be as good as our 3rd WR. Which isn't saying much.

That is what I proposed, using Booker as the #3 WR. He didn't play much, but I don't remember him dropping any of the passes thrown his way, if they were of course catchable. Admittedly, I don't memorize every play we ran, so I could be mistaken here. Furthermore, with some coaching, he could develop into a good, consistent WR. Lastly, he should be used as a RB. I can see him lined up at WR, we run a reverse to him with our line pulling, along with the RB/TE/WR blocking for him as he comes around the corner.

There must be a reason it took Cam so long to get him on the field (other than bad coaching decision)... I'm curious about that.
Especially after all the good things the LB's had to say about him in training camp.

Cant catch as well as as other receivers? Says who? I've seen him drop one ball and that was in double coverage...

Ummmmmm, NO. Lorenzo Booker is quick, but not Wes Welker quick. Booker certainly has more speed than Welker, but youre not going to find many guys, if any, in the NFL with the uncanny quickness of Wes Welker. Welker also has far superior hands than Booker. Welker is such a good short yardage go to guy because of his quickness out of a break he can lose a defender for a split second about anytime. He is the perfect slot receiver for a team with guys who can stretch the field like Stallworth and Moss. Impossible to cover both of those guys and still have enough to keep Welker for getting open for a short gain that is enough to move the sticks. If Welker had great speed he would be as good a punt returner as Devin Hester. He can make guys miss as well as anyone. QUICK.

The church of WES WELKER the painful truth

He we go again. Let's just jump on the worship welker wagon. Look the guy is good for them. Classic examaple of a player fitting the system and in the perfect place. I'm getting so tired of this nonsence. Look he plays for them now, I hate him just as much as brady and the rest of the bums on that team. I think lo-book will be good for us how good who knows.
Chris Chambers did more for this team than welker ever did and chambers was not cluch in important plays. even though welker was he never was a asset because we haven't run the spread O sence marino's days. How often so you see the dolphins run 4 WR sets almost never.

Lo-Bo made tough catches and as mention before didn't drop many so I don't know where you are coming from saying he can't catch. I say we use him like Reggie Bush was used when Deuce wasn't hurt. Get him in on reverses and put him there with Teddy on returns. We could run all kinds of things with him and Teddy catching kicks. I have no idea why Cam didn't play him. But I guess you gotta look back to San Diego were he had LT. Now They have three good backs that all play, coincidence? I think not.

Using Lorenzo Booker as a WR is not a new concept.. There were planty of reports about Cameron using Booker exclusivley at WR for a period of time in practices.

What will this coaching staff do with L. Booker?? I have no clue. They might not even like the guy because he's not "big" enough... who knows.. we can only wait and see.

Not sure he's gonna come in and run crisp routes out the gate. He would be a huge project at WR. He's a project at rb. I'll pass.

No disrespect, but Lorenzo Booker is definitely quicker than Wes Welker. As a matter of fact, Booker is known more for his ankle-breaking quickness than for flat out speed.

Welker is no slouch in terms of quickness, but he is simply not the same caliber as guys like Booker.

Also, FYI - Parcells is a fan of quick scatbacks, so I can definitely see Booker getting his fair share of touches, both out of the backfield and occasionally in the slot.

honestly watching booker paly is like watching LT play, he is quick and can make people miss at the drop of a hat, i think he can be a great player for us for years to come
