What do you guys think about taking Lorenzo Booker in the 3rd or 4th round if he is there now that Morris and Minor are gone. No, he never lived up to his potential as a starter at Florida State, BUT he would be a 3rd string back behind Ronnie (and hopefully Ricky). He is blazing fast and could easily replace Welker at the KR/PR spot as he had pretty good hands in college. He would also be used on special teams to replace Minor. They could absolutely use him in the same manner the Jets used Leon Washington last year with his speed and cutback ability.... I think it could definitely be a sleeper pick....

Ive heard and read quite a bit that Booker will be better suited to the NFL game than the college game...I dont know why maybe it has to do with him being a 3rd down type back who needs reps rather than an every down back...Or maybe its just a statement against the current state of the FSU program...

You had to go there about my boys in Tallahassee didnt you? LOL. FSU's O-Line has sucked the last couple years and I was amazed that Leon Washingon and Booker were able to do as much as they did behind that patchwork.... That being said, I do see Booker as a Michael Turner type kind of guy. That would be enough to make me use a 3rd or 4th on him. I dont think he is going to last to the 4th though :-(

I'd like the pick. I was surprised that he timed 4.45 and 4.55 at the Combine because he looked faster than that in their bowl game against UCLA.

There are going to be games when you aren't going to be able to pound it inside as you'd like to, and to be able to hurt a team by using a scat back on draws or screens can open up other things for your offense. There is currently no one on the the roster that can give us that, so I'd put it down as a need. Not a primary one, but something that should be addressed.

He'll likely be around in the 3rd or 4th round, I liked what i saw when I watched a few games. As a third stringer I wouldnt mind.

Has great hands and speed, may produce better in the NFL then he did in college, but as a thrid dwon back coming out of the backfield is where he will start his career.

In the third would be ideal though, because then we could use the late 2nd on Jason Hill wr Washington state!:dolphins:

I personally attended the UCLA-FSU bowl game, and let me say...I'd love to have him on the Fins. I'd draft him with the Pats 2nd round pick and not think twice about it
