This guy also had a stellar game. Do you guys think he is a long shot to make the team? I definately put this guy over Lee anyday. He played both FB, and TE. I saw him make some nice blocks, and he caught the ball quite a bit.

Did he even drop a pass? He was awesome while lee had more then 1 drop.

Well I am sure we all know of Lee's history of dropping passes.

He looked good. Really good. Better than Evans as well. I'm optimistic, but let's withhold our judgement since it was only 1 preseason game. Donald Lee had 2 drops, but caught a few as well. Seems to be how he's been practicing also. I think the big fear in releasing Lee is that they see he has all of the phsical tools to be very good, and he puts himself in positions on the field to be a difference maker-- the guy does get open. Unfortunately, he's usually making a difference in a negative way. He kind of reminds me of a poor man's Rickey Dudley. That guy was an early pick and had great physical tools. He just never pulled it together and could never shake the drops. He was still around for a long time.

The third, fourth and fifth tight ends all look better than Lee. When in a game can they afford to throw the ball to Lee with his 50% catch rate? This is nothing new.

Seriously... when did LEE become our #1 wr???
When our Qb's had to continually dump the ball off because of having no time inthe pocket to look for a WR.

i am really liking this diamond character and alex holmes is better than lee . hell if i had randy on side and alex holmes and diamond on the otherr side plus kay jay and ronnie in the backfield that would be a killer offense on a 3-2 offense oh well .

When the other team realized that he couldn't catch so they left him open. A QB's first instinct is to throw the ball to the open guy no matter what his name is.

Thats because Evans(Heath) was thrown to 1 time the entire game and never even given the chance to carry the ball. They used him mainly as a blocker in which he did a good job i thought. Its bad when your RB makes your FB look bad but thats exactly what Ricky did to Heath. Diamond is an awesome TE but Heath when given the touches will show you how explosive he can be.

He impressed me too. THere's no reason to have Lee on the team if Diamond is a consistant player.

I also loved seeing Boston out there. Hopefully he's productive and injury free.

Wasn't trying to imply that Heath played bad, just emphasizing how good Diamond looked out there. I don't know much about Heath's game, but he looked solid. I just thought last night Diamond really played well. Perhaps the best of any Dolphin.

Yeah, probably the most consistent anyway. I thought Frerotte looked pretty good also. You guys have a QB contreversy imo.
